I disagree. And I'm a bit disappointed to learn that you have an obsessive compulsion to knock Alabama along with A&M. Hell, I thought we were special.

Good political and PR move by Saban. That's pretty much all it is. Saban comes out looking like less of an arse and the kid gets his education which was coming to him either way.

Typical LSU blowhard knee-jerk response. Any news that positively reflects on Bama/Saban/etc is automatically false, unnoteworthy, unimpressive, and should be hidden on the Bama board.

I would hope most schools would take similar steps.
From yesterday's Dallas Morning News: He'll never play football again, but Texas A&M still honoring Cedric Collins' scholarship

ETA: Sorry … someone above already posted.

So this kid had like 15 offers. Only took one visit, to Bama. And Bama expects the other 14 schools to honor the athletic scholarship?

I don't think we expect or care what the other schools did or didn't do for the guy.

Saban took it upon himself to help this kid out when he had no obligation whatsoever to do so.

You realize that does not go towards his 85 scholarships right? It is done at LSU and I am sure many other universities every year. I.E. Chris Tolliver, Delvin Breux, John Williams.
