Doesnt sound like hes a fan of it.

"Saban wants more clarity on SEC "serious misconduct" rule. "Cam Newton and Nick Marshall were good for the SEC."

Actually, he's absolutely right. There needs to be more clarity.

Would Cam or Marshall's offenses been serious enough to prohibit them from transferring? Seems like there would need to be some sort of violence or serious theft or something.

My guess is both of them would have been able to appeal and go through the review process and transfer to Auburn anyways.

Saban should just make all of the rules.

Were either of them violent or sexual offenders? No, so they'd be good to go.

Those aren't cases where clarification is needed.

tRant: Saban says something that could possibly be misconstrued and twisted:

Doesn't the rule already say offenses like domestic violence or sexual offenses are the only things covered right now? Maybe that was just a rumor.

Would Mettenswag have been able to transfer under the rule?

Of course he is. People just hate him for his success therefore they have to disagree even when he is right no matter how foolish they come off

Well, he's right. I haven't seen anything that constitutes what "serious misconduct" is.

It doesn't effect us because we won't take guys like that anyway, but it will be good that the rest of you can't now either.

He knows Cam and Marshall wouldn't fall under this rule. What a prick Saban is for even using them.

Now, does it mean the rule doesn't require clarity as he suggests? No it probably does.
