You want me to say something great about Miles so it gives you one? He's a great recruiter.

Sorry. I'm not a LSU homer.

The guy is a great coach and I understand he's not coming back to LSU. If he coached at Texas, aTm or toledo, I would say the same thing. You got so much hate for the man. I'm just being objective. If any other coach accomplished what he has, I would say the same thing. Quit being a child about it.

Riiiight. So lets say he lost the next 4 in a row to LSU and Auburn. No pressure. Bama fans would just laugh it off.

Don't kid yourself. The loud, ignorant portion of the fanbase called for Bryant's head when he had down years in 1969 and 1970. That was after three national titles in the 60s. They would be dumb enough to do the same if Saban had down years in the future.

Possibly--after the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Bama fanbase subsides, of course

Eh. Maybe aTm is to Saban as ND/UTx was to Bryant.

No biggie. Everyone has an antagonist. Maybe aTm is the meddling kids that keeps Saban from getting away with it.....

Seriously he is so underpaid at Bama. He could easily demand $10 million a year and he would still be worth it. I wonder at what point we would finally say we couldn't pay him? $15 million a year? $17 million?

I have a feeling he makes a ton of extra money that isn't publically reported. That way he and Alabama get to publically report his salary is "only" 5 million a year and both avoid too much criticism. He probably has no risk business deals that pay him a lot more money on the side.

I got a feeling things will be different on that front in September. Saban was already talking about that game after the ND beatdown. I

If he loses a couple the next few years everyone will still be satisfied over the 3 out of 4.

You're out of your frickin' mind....you don't know Bama's fan base......back in the day they were ready to fire Bryant after he had a couple of crap years in the late 60's

The upside is we're in the hunt every year. Its all you can ask for.

That's a pretty reasonable expectation, and should true most every year.

And Bama is full of "Livingston Parish" type counties and fans.

what's the point? I'm not gonna line up outside of a store to take a pic with a trophy.

He probably never cared about our expectations... ever. He holds himself to a much higher standard than we ever could have.
