Makes me think that a team that specializes in the bubble screen and quick little passes would be in hell against a well run defense like that. I am surprised Texas and OU with their talent doesn't run it all the time being in the bubble screen conference.

Hmmm. Interesting. Go back and watch the LSU-North Texas game. LSU through WR screens about a dozen times in that game. In the Washington game, they switched to slant passes after the WR screen set up the slant.

I wonder if they are working towards a strategy here? My guess is that they will establish some other tendency before the Alabama game, but these first 2-3 weeks might be telling as to how LSU is going to attack Alabama this time around.

I know it was brought up when Dre said it. In the original post I said I couldn't find it or would bump it. As far as the article, it was written today:

Saban's technique seems to work much better than straight backpeddling. It gives your DB the ability to break deep much quicker and still work shallow if needed.

This is why Saban is the greatest defensive mind in the game.

No.

Maybe in college. The NFL is >>>>>>>>>>> CFB.

As Cleveland DC Coach Saban total D was ranked 14, 10, 17, 1 from 1991 - 1994. One outstanding year. Coach Lebeau as DC finished 1, 4, 11, 2, 1, 13, 1 and 1 from 2004 - 2011. Not even the same universe.
