Davis is back and ready; it should be a good contest come Thanksgiving.
So what you're saying is that not only will Davis be as good as he was before the injury, but he also will not suffer from the loss of all those big wide receivers (which hampers the passing game and allows the defense to load up the box more), the loss of the coach who made the offense tick, or the turmoil surrounding that coach's departure.

The rest I can understand but I pray that teams have this mentality against us. It won't last far into the season for teams to realize that this idea won't work.
Childs was the only BIG wr that we lost and he wasn't much of a factor last season. Hope he gets it back in the league. The other 2 will be missed but Hamilton has always been the most talented of all the 4. He's back. I'll miss Adams more for his PR ability than anything. If Wade plays then I don't see much of a drop off at all.

How did Auburn do that year?
He didn't want to use that data because it might indicate that LSU was not great against the run in 2010, as compared to last year and this year. Anything to spin...

Hey, Wilson is a great QB, no question. No idea how good the receivers are now; do you guys think they're going to be somewhere close to as good as the guys who left? Also, how's your line looking? I ask only because I honestly don't know..

Then why didn't he start? Or did he start and I just don't remember it?

I can't imagine the crap from arky fans if you guys ever actually won something....it is amazing the shite you guys talk without ever winning ANYTHING.

Hey no problem. A lot of fans just see 3 departing starters and think that it's going to be a huge hit for us. Hell I think that way too. It's the way I'm feeling about Bama's defense.
As for the guys replacing them, most have been in the offense at least a season and I'm pretty sure they have all have made catches in games as well.
After the 2010 season I was convinced that out of all our guys, Hamilton was the most talented. He's just built like a prototypical NFL wideout and most publications I've read have this same feeling as well.
As for our Oline, I'll just have to wait and see like everyone else. After all the arrest and other crap I just stopped really putting much thought into it. I just think anything has to be better than last year with how many times they allowed the rush to get to Wilson. I'm hoping the combination of Davis, Johnson, and Small make them look pretty good.

Problem is that I've heard this story far too many times when it just didn't pan out. If he were truly a better player, one would think he would have been starting. I mean, was he hurt or something last year?
Now, there IS precedent for this sort of thing. Back in 1987, the Oklahoma assistant coaches came to Barry Switzer with all these grand plans of how to take Oklahoma State star running back Thurmon Thomas out of the game. Switzer said no, they didn't want to do that, because Thomas' backup was better than he was.
1988 proved him right, as Barry Sanders set an NCAA record for total yards that I believe stands to this day en route to the Heisman.
Still, that's the exception, not the rule, and generally speaking if a player isn't starting, there's a reason why. Time will tell if Hamilton breaks out and has a great season, and maybe he will. Maybe the others leaving will make something in his head click and he'll become the go to guy, I sure as hell don't know. I just question the whole backup being more talented than the starter, especially after hearing that shite about Neiko Thorpe being better than Jerraud (sp?) Powers...

How did AU do last year without Cam Newton? Dennis Johnson still averaged a bit over 6 yds. per carry but he is not the back that KD is. That is just reality.

You do know that we wanted Davis running the ball. Our FS and SS had to bail to stop Mallet from slinging the ball 100 yards down the field.

Yeah, I noticed that Cobi burned you twice for TDs of 80 yds and 85 yds and Joe Adams burned #7 for a 39 yd TD. It was a total Torch Job. We were @ the goal line again when time expired, yeah I noticed that.
I expect Tyler Wilson will be able to find Cobi and our big TE, Gragg too this year. KD will find some room too. It will be a real dogfight and a close contest.

I don't know where you got that he wasn't a starter but he was a starter and major player in every game the last 2 years. He split catches between the other 3 but still was a huge impact player. Just youtube his name. 600 avg and over 17ypc over the last two years. He played those years with 3 NFL wideouts. That's pretty damn impressive and he's only going to get more throws at him this year. I mean why in the heck would we target one player when we had all those threats? I think our passing game actually improves on account that Wilson will have a slightly improved O line, more experience, and a better run game. Our passing game fell off a little from 2010 because we were lacking all those things that we now have back.
Also, unless you know more than every NFL scout and major publication, I'd say Hamilton is a pretty talented guy.

bamas "awesome" running backs can't even muster over 100 yards on our defense

So JJ outrushing the entire Arky team last year means Tommy Frazier has a fight on his hands for QB of the century?

I suppose the rest of the SEC should just get on their knees and bow now. The Hogs are so talented they will use a cardboard cutout of Petrino as HC this season while they run roughshod over the SEC.
