Isn't it obvious from this post the exaggeration that exists in the collective mind of MSU...Cecil really only asked for bus fare and a Chick-Fil-A buy a sandwich get a free coke coupon.

i believe the alumni Bobby Shackouls is the one who is responsible for the donation, rumored he passed away and left a ton of money to the athletic department at MSU at around 80 million. But i don't know of anything definite yet

It is ridiculous that any person could donate that amount of money strictly to an athletic program and not to academics. There would be no athletic programs without the academic side of things. If MSU does get a donation of this proportion, I hope the athletic department donates a good portion of it to the school.

he already donated the honors college, so i think the academics is already taken care of on his part, the honors college is named after him

I really don't think Bobby Shackouls died. On Dec 9th he bought 3250 shares of Kroger.

And the gap continues to widen between the State and Ole Miss, as I and others expected the longer Nutt is in Oxford. Before long that gap will be an insurmountable gaping canyon if changes aren’t made in Oxford soon. However, I’m sure State and the rest of the SEC hope things remain status quo.

pretty much why rumors, even this one about the donation, are nothing more than empty words until its proven. And yes just looked it up, Shackouls is alive and kicking
