If you have something you can confirm as fact, put it on out there.

At least you started strong.

Luckily what was speculated wasn't to the extent they thought and the potential ones suspended were supposedly cleared. Good thing I posted speculation and stated I didn't want to present it as fact.

Wouldn't Bama have sat him since they found out?

All radio rumors here in Baton Rouge but with the timing it is being suggested that this is drug related which honestly would surprise me as he has never been in trouble before.

nothing per Mark Schlabach on espn u a minute ago indicates drugs.

Depends on what he did and what the NCAA recommended during the investigation
Right now we're all speculating, none of us have a clue why he's suspended

My first thought.

And this is why. Depending on policy it's possible for the very first thing you hear when its drugs is that they're suspended for a year. I can't remember the exact letter of the rule, but basically a player fails one NCAA test and gets a stern talking to. A player fails a second test and they have a choice. Choice A is to accept a short suspension, and probation. Choice B is to appeal, be retested, and possibly be cleared. The catch is that if you fail that third test, it's an automatic year. That's what happened to TM7.
The rules are hazy, because TM7 was able to fail plenty of in-house tests before it ever caught him. We rarely ever hear about those. It's the NCAA tests that carry real consequences, but the school is legally bound not to talk about it, so it's all together possible the very first time you hear of a problem it's a year suspension being handed down.
Again I'm leaning away from drugs now that multiple people are saying it's just a few games, but I'm not sure where Cooper got the "rest of the year" thing from. Really strange for someone to use that term, whoever he got it from, if it's not something that carries an automatic suspension.

good thing Alabama waited till they played Va Tech, A&M, and Ole Miss before disciplining Dix. the timing of this is outstanding. wait till their bye month of October
