Actually, SoFi is much better suited to host it than the Rose Bowl stadium.
Rotating it between Los Angeles and Atlanta (West & East coasts) wouldn't be a bad idea. Can't beat SoFi and Mercedes Benz Stadiums.

LSU only plays in the sugar bowl for championships so I disagree

It's antiquated, poorly laid out, the portals accommodate 2 1/2 people at a time....and let's not talk about the 1/2 hour it takes to go to the concession stands, or the "head"!
The stadium's low profile requires fans in the back section to bring a telescope to the game....and let's not talk about how expensive the state is, or the homeless.

The stadium is trash. It’s like wrigley field or Fenway park. Nostalgic with lots of history but the actual venue itself and accommodations is terrible lol.

I actually agree with this.

My first time ever being at that stadium was on Monday, (bought the tickets in September or else I would've been at the Sugar Bowl). I can honestly say that stadium needs a ton of renovations. It's not a terrible stadium, but i wouldn't put it in my top 5.

Other than the views, the stadium is garbage...
you basically have to leave the stadium to go to the food trucks "concessions".

How are 2 covered stadiums, 1 of which is an outright dome, and both of which have artificial turf, better than the frickin' historic Rose Bowl, with mountains in the background, a great grass field, a true bowl look and great weather? And beautiful from the blimp. SoFi looks like a bedpan from the blimp and that dome in Atlanta looks like a car wheel that melted.
College football is played outdoors, not underneath a roof. Why should the postseason be any different from the regular season?
I agree with Herbie for once.

No to the Rose Bowl as a perm site.
Rotate it between Arlington, TX and Indianapolis, IN. Those are better centralized sites than Pasadena or ATL.

I just hate dome football, period. No SEC team plays in a dome, as it should be. So why play postseason games in a dome? And most folks on this forum seem to hate turf, so why play on turf in a dome?

I wouldn't care at all if the NCAA boycotted California.

It’s cool to go see a game there just because it’s a historic stadium. But it is horrifically outdated.

FIFY.
The stadium itself is a dump. A relic. And it’s 200 million in debt.

Atmosphere and setting is amazing in rose bowl. The mountains and overall scenic views is something every college football fan should experience but the stadium is in dire need of renovations.
If it was up to date with modern renovations it’d be the best venue in the country in my opinion.
