You'll have to upgrade your basketball arena before you can be "king" of any facilities arms race.

... oh wait, you just did? Oh wow, okay.

When I was growing up in Tuscaloosa, Joe Sewell always welcomed visitors to his home to look at his memorabilia. Of course I went and talked to him as he showed me all his stuff. I picked up his bat and it must have weighed 40 ounces. He told me Tris Speaker gave it to him. Joe Sewell's strikeout record is still at the top of the list. One year he had over 600 at-bats and only struck out like 7 times.

I asked him if Ty Cobb played dirty which was implied throughout his career. Mr. Sewell told me that Cobb was the toughest player any opponent would want to face and that he did not play dirty, he just went all out trying to win.

That was a great day for and I will always remember.

the seating area solely consists of 4,500 chair back seats.
What will 4,000 empty chair back seats look like on TV???

I hope they included something for streaming games. That Radio Shack one camera set up was ripe for Gump jokes.....

It's a brand new stadium, so yes it will. In addition, it will have fancy new LED lighting.

The University of Alabama’s Sewell – Thomas Stadium will soon make history as one of the first NCAA baseball fields lit with an LED light source. The University of Alabama has chosen Musco’s Light-Structure Green, having previously installed Musco’s lighting systems at several venues on campus including its tennis facility and the Sam Bailey Track Stadium.
Musco’s Light-Structure Green system using an LED light source provides many benefits for players, spectators, and television broadcasts.

Even Saban's pimp, Finebaum, said the aggies' facilities were the best he's seen around the conference. But having said that, just go to games at S.Carolina, Ark. LSU, even that cute little box in Oxford, have not seen AU's but hear its very good. Vandy adding on, UK already has, in 10 yrs Moo State will have their new facility. Point being, all the big boys in the league have great facilities & winning is the common denominator.

You can all you want to but last season watching the streaming feed from the Hoover Met where you were playing your games was a joke.

It was worse than home movies.

The ball would be hit and would leave the picture. After the outfielder had caught the ball, or run it down, someone would move the camera so viewers could see the outfielder throwing the ball back in to the infield.

It really was a disgrace to the SEC network to carry that crap on their ESPN App feed.

Ask Auburn, they'd just played there a few weeks ago.

Looking damn good.

I wish LSU would build a berm; makes for a great atmosphere. The students are currently placed in bfe
