Don't forget SC plays for a 2nd generic looking trophy. The Mayor's Cup vs Missouri. There are currently no pics available of Missouri holding this trophy.

That thing looks like it was made in a junior high shop class using scrap pieces of paneling taken from hallway of a mid-70's house trailer.

We can thank that taterhead Jerry Motherfricking Richardson, (It was almost named the Denny's Trophy if he had his way), for the Hardees Trophy.
I offered up two trophies to Mike (McGee) but corporate sponsorship overruled both.
I had the Palmetto Trophy and the Pumpkin Cup (the first for Carolina/Clemson and the second for Carolina/Tennessee) designed and submitted but Clemson wanted the Hardees Trophy so they won out and Mike didn't think the Pumpkin Cup was a good idea. I need to pull out those old drawings and scan and post them one of these days.
The Pumpkin Cup was the best IMHO because each rib of the pumpkin was done in patina'd brass and silver which made it have a shiny black and orange tone ... but Mike kept saying he wasn't sure the game would continue to be played on Halloween weekend every year or not - and he was right of course but still, it was original and completely funded.
