Not necessarily. I mean, Alabama has a little larger population than South Carolina with one fourth the Whole Foods South Carolina has. But South Carolina DOES have a larger percentage of college educated citizens as well as a higher median household income. That makes the difference for a company like Whole Foods.

There will be a new Whole Foods in Montgomery and maybe Tuscaloosa soon, bringing our total to 3; however, Whole Foods doesn't have a monopoly on that market. I know Montgomery also has an EarthFare, which is basically the same as Whole Foods.

So maybe Alabama will catch up to South Carolina soon. Congrats. I live in a city that has three Whole Foods so there is a ways to go before I am impressed honestly.

At the level they play at they kinda do. No one has the market power Whole Foods does which means no one has the products they do. Everyone throws out Trader Joes but it is not close when you are talking standards for products.

That is like saying a Lexus is basically the same as a Bently because they are both luxury cars you can't afford.

Nothing is on the level of Whole Foods. I actually shop at Natural Grocers and the farmer's market more, but only because I know what I am doing. For the food morons in my life they can go to Whole Foods and buy anything and be guaranteed that they didn't purchase poison.

And if youre shopping at whole foods, you're grocery bills probably too high for a hippy too. They can't afford that shite

Exactly.

Do I like hippy music like Phish, rasta, and other jam bands? Yes.

Do I have political views close to hippies? On some things, sure.

But at the end of the day I simply make too much money, have too much responsibility, and take too many showers to be a good hippie.

I am the Whole Foods demographic to the letter.

Not having anyone to play when rivalry week rolls around.

why is this such a bad thing?

Its not . Especially when you have some dumpster fire like the Alabama-Tenn game where the Gumps and Hillbillies cling to it like anyone outside of Tuscaloosa or Knoxville gives a rip.
