I think Stansbury sucked. He always recruited well enough to keep the program from going into complete chaos, but he was a terrible basketball coach.
The jury on Ray is still out, though. He's going to have to step up his recruiting a bit if he's going to be successful at State.

There's a difference between having a botched search and a bad hire.
Ray has done NOTHING to show that he was a bad hire. He's been better than Frank Martin, who inherited an equally bad circumstance, at every single juncture of their young careers.
We are going to be hell on wheels next year when we have a full roster for the first time.
