Why do analysts keep comparing Ingram's Heisman year to Richardson's year? What does that have to do with Richardson's competition this year? Are they just trying to justify their bias? This is ruining the heisman... bunch of idiots that vote on this.
1. RGIII
2. Richardson
This seems pretty clear to IMO, but I guess we will have to see how much pull the REC has again

The Heisman is, and has been for a while, a popularity contest.

It's really just about which great player does the media like the most.

Not saying RG3 isn't one of those great players, but it really is a bullshite award.

Idk it's weird. Trent isn't competing against Ingram. They might look at Ingram winning and think, "If Ingram can win then so can Trent." Because Trent is the baddest MFer in the land by far.

Because they both played/play for Alabama?

I seem to remember some mentions of Bo Jackson in stories about Cam Newton last year in reference to the Heisman.

Some of y'all look for bullshite just to have something to bitch about.

Ingram certainly wasnt the best player in the country the year he won it.

A much better argument could be made for TR.

Agree, but if RG3 wins it this year, I'd say he won it on the field. He hasn't had a well-oiled machine pushing him all year. Can't say I saw a lot of him, but what I saw was impressive.

It's becuase they try to say, "because TR's numbers are better than Ingram's, he should win." C'mon it should be vs the current competition ONLY.

I wouldn't have Richardson in my top five.

1. RGIII
2. Barkley
3. Ball
4. Luck
5. Weeden

Actually, I'd put Moore and Keenum ahead of Richardson this year too. He just never really was a large factor in Alabama's success.

Ingram and Troy Smith are two of the most mediocre Heisman winners in recent memory.

Again with trying to downplay any accomplishment Alabama or its players have. Ingram deserved it. He has it. Get over it already

I think TR had a harder road that Ingram because Ingram had TR & Julio and that took the focus off him.. TR gets all the attention and has still put
up great numbers.
