I don't even remember if people were celebrating or not. I was almost in a fugue state leaving the dome. I was just kind of zombie walking back to the car trying to process everything that just happened and evaluate what I was doing with my life. Had my cousin (driving) stop and get me a 40 and some krystal for the ride home but it didnt' help much.

It was a great game. Strangely I never felt like we were going to lose it until the final drive. When Ogletree returned that FG I thought "plenty of time left but we have to turn it around"

There was a moment in particular when DJ Fluker lost his marbles on his Oline mates. The giant just went crazy. Finally some fire. Soon after we just handed the ball to Lacy over and over all the way to the endzone. At that point I knew we'd win the game. On the final drive however, I thought "we're about to blow this"

I was more dejected in Baton Rouge prior to "the drive" than I was at any point in the SECCG

We weren't obnoxiously celebrating, but close or not it was a huge hard fought win that deserved celebrating.

I meant obnoxiously celebrating. There was no in your face shite talking that can happen sometimes after a big game that was that close. And I think a lot of people were flat out spent.

I wanted both teams to be sucked into a black hole.
Why would you want Bama & UGA down in the black hole with you in 2012?

Was there. It hurt. When Bama started running it down our throats I told the wife "about to play action deep". Two plays later.

Bama fans were gracious. I think most walked out with a new found respect for UGA. Only issue I had was a frat kid behind us yelled "Georgia sucks" after we left the Dome. I turned around and he must have seen it in my eyes. His next words were "I can't fight".

Awesome game. Wish it had ended differently.

I don't feel a lot of hostility between the two fan bases. One of my dearest friends is a UGA business grad and invites me to stay in Athens with him anytime Alabama and Georgia meet in any athletic event. I've always had the most fun with UGA fans. Even in '07 when they last came to BDS, I had a great time tailgating with them. Good drinkers, same interest in jam bands, and good taste in BBQ.

bama and UGA on paper SHOULD get along swimmingly, and I feel like we do for the most part. But the saban era has really changed a lot of your fanbase.

I celebrated because I knew walking out of the Dome that Bama had just won another BCSNC.
