I would too if both teams had their way with us they way we did with Auburn that year.

Auburn didn't field a football team in 2012.

The worst part of that game was when Alec Ogletree returned the blocked kick for a TD. That's when we actually let ourselves believe that it could happen.

That actually didn't phase me. I just shook my head and said "back to the drawing board Nick."

Actually, I take that back. When Murray started hitting Lynch deep down the middle to put us in scoring position was the worst. I just wanted it to be over but they made me believe. And then they didn't.

I was in shock that y'all got that far down field in that little amount of time. Once that interception was overturned things went by so fast that I couldn't believe the game was over.

I've since seen the game in reruns, but tRant, imagine if you will:

A dedicated dad driving his family back from Disneyworld. The family became weary, and I was listening to the pregame, I stop in Bation Rouge for the night eager to watch this game. The FRICKING hotel had cable issues and they didn't have ESPN.

Probably the best game I've ever been to in terms of good football (2013 LSU was just fun as shite). And as has been

Definitely the highest quality of football at a UGA game I've been to (nothing will ever beat Texas-USC for me probably). I was so heartbroken after this game, but I was so proud of the team for the way they played. That's why I think the UGA "no national championship" thing can be a little ridiculous. That team played better in that game than so many others, but we were just not quite as good as a really talented Alabama team.

That was the best SEC Championship Game I've ever seen. Hats off to Georgia. Y'all played a great game and I respect the hell out of your program and style of play.

One of the best atmospheres I have ever been at but also the worst moment as a fan. Still stings to this day.

The only time I've ever truly "devastated" after a Georgia loss. That was the national championship game. I knew either team could blow out ND. I went back to the hotel with my girlfriend. No shite, she put me in a bubble bath and ordered macaroni and cheese from room service. I've never done anything like that. It was al let as if I was in a trance. I've got to give it to Bama fans. They didn't even celebrate leaving the Done. They knew they had just seen their team barely survive a 15 round Heavyweight war.

Worst part was bama and UGA knew that was the MNC. ND had no shot against either team that year. One day the fricken ball will bounce our way.....won't it??

I literally had no energy when I left the dome, me and the fam went to the CNN building where they have a 24 hour taco bell and I proceeded to eat at min 10 tacos to replenish my losses lol.

I was there at the game in the nosebleeds. While the celebration was ongoing, some Georgia fan came up, looked down, then looked at me and said "You think that's a long enough drop?". I lol'd

you took the words right out of my mouth, almost verbatim.

That was the most hurt I've ever been following sports, and it's still a top 5 most gut wrenching feeling I've ever had in my life sports or not. I don't think I'll ever truly get over it.

well whatever channel it was on, I didn't get it at the hotel. And that sucked regardless of channel.

Couldn't agree more. At least until we finally get over the hump.

Was an awesome game. Two heavyweights slugging it out to see who got the privilege of crushing leprechaun nuts.

This made me remember this picture which I think sums it up nicely.

This Bama fan was celebrating leaving the dome. Why would we not have celebrated? We just saw Bama win a great college football game, which gave them the SEC title and a spot in the BCS title game. We weren't obnoxiously celebrating, but close or not it was a huge hard fought win that deserved celebrating.
