Aggies are lucky they didn't have to play driskel late in the year when he actually learned how to be a qb.

Driskel made a lot of "rookie" mistakes in this game for sure, that he did not make late in the year. Lots of running out of bounds and losing 5-8 yds rather than throwing it away. Hell, he ran out of bounds 6 yds behind the LOS right before halftime, that made Sturgis have to attempt a 51 yd FG instead of a 45 yarder. He did this several times, and took numerous bad sacks as well. Crazy seeing how much Jeff grew up between this game and the FSU game.

In the Florida game, Ben Malena had 3 carries for 23 yards...all in the first half.

That plays into what I said in the OP though. A lot easier to gash a D when they are playing too undisciplined and free.

However, to not even have (up to that point) your most physical runner touch the football in the second half is mind-boggling.

We would have beat you by 3 TDs had we played in November.

Yeah that was stupid.

In the LSU game, ATM had some success early with the screen game and that slowly disappeared as well.

1) not everyone has UFs speed at LB

2) I'm sure Sumlin has figured out the counter plays against UFs second half strategy

Saban isn't stupid. I'm sure he tried the same thing UF and LSU did, but Manziel and Sumlin either out schemed them or out executed them for that game.

In all honesty I think a UF-A&M game in November would have been a more exciting game with the same outcome. JFF would have opened the defense up more with some throws downfield. Driskel would have exploited our secondary more. 27-24 UF or something like that. Bertolet didn't go full Bertolet in the UF game like he did against LSU

I would STRONGLY prefer to have someone else attempting our kicks inside 45 yards

He's great on kickoffs and it's unlikely we'll have a guy who can hit from 45+ with regularity anyways. He has a leg he just has no clue where it's headed

Like it has been said, the game between these two would be different by both teams if played in November. That doesn't mean the outcome would've been different.

UF definitely was the most dominant opponent we've played especially in the 2nd half.

Florida had arguably the best defense in the nation. Just because they gave other teams the blue print doesn't mean other teams have the athletes/players that can execute it.

UF was the most complete defense we faced. Theres also no arguing we held quite a bit of our playbook back. Y'all are the better team but I think if we play now we get another score. I also think you would better exploit our main weakness, the defensive backfield. Same outcome just a different and more open game
