The way LSU suffocated teams offenses and made big plays on D and ST was incredible.

I think the main reason we won the title game was that we didn't turn the ball over and corralled LSU's special teams. They were so daym athletic and fast on the DL and in the secondary.

SS - Taylor
CB - Claiborne/Brooks
CB - Mathieu/Simon
LB - Barrow/Minter (definitely the weakness of the defense)
DE - Montgomery/Edwards
DE - Mingo/Rasco
DT - Logan/Brockers

OF only those players, Alabama had a player drafted at almost every position: QB, RB, TE, WR, OT, OG, C, DT, DE, OLB, ILB, S, CB. No fullback. That's pretty amazing.

That's one of my favorite years, but I still hate that Alabama won it at the cost of LSU.
