When is the last time Tennessee went to a bowl game? When is the last time y'all even had a winning record?

You can bet one thing, we sold 17,500 tickets.

New Orleans is close enough to Gainesville, Florida to make it with one gas/bathroom stop.

Easy for a "fan" from a 23 year old program to say. If UF went through the same losing streak UT is experiencing, can you imagine how empty that overrated stadium in that overrated town of G-ville would be.

This.

They forget the rest of the SEC played football before 1991.

Report: Florida loses $840,000 on Sugar Bowl visit
really they did not loose that- the sugar payout is divided by all sec teams , are all sec team bowls
the $20m payout they get at the destin meeting, is their share of all bowls. if they had sold the tickets they would have made the 850,0000. the sec determines how much they are allocated in expenses & most teams, do not cover the budget, but get a share of everyone that plays

True. Since Florida has to share the Sugar Bowl revenue, in order to look at any accurate profit/loss from the Sugar Bowl, you really have to include all of Florida's bowl revenue share, including from the BCSCG.

It only takes around 2 hours on I-10 to get from the Florida state line to the Louisiana state line. They are relatively close.

No, Hamilton is gone.

Hart is doing a pretty good job of cleaning up a huge mess.

True. The bowl games just were not that great last year. With the 4 team playoff coming, it will further hurt the other bowl games - including the other BCS games.

You guys just don't understand that football in Gainesville isn't as big of a deal as it is at other SEC schools. There are too many students and alumni from South Florida, who care more about Ultra Music Festival/fishing/Miami Heat/Orlando Magic/doing coke/dressing like hookers than an SEC football team.

Seriously, the tailgating is a joke. The fans aren't particularly knowledgeable. They care equally about basketball and football. Gainesville isn't a bad college town, but it certainly isn't an SEC town.

lol @ LSU & Tennessee fans talking about history

UF owns both of your schools since 1950

Hell, we own both of y'all since the 1920's

Wanna go back any farther? We own that arse, and dig all up in it every single fall :nohomo:

Then why do we sell out more games than y'all? Doesn't BR have 150,000+ more residents than gainesville? And tiny little gainesville fills the swamp every single week. TS is empty by the 3rd quarter.....great fans

Our games are always sold out, it's a matter of "how long will people stay to watch Idaho".

This argument might work on this board, if I didn't go to five of your home games last year. People didn't even stick around for the nailbiter home opener. Next.

25-31-3 does not equal "owning."

LSU played UF only twice before 1950. LSU won both of those.

Prior to Spurrier...you figure it out. Let's not bring up UF's tradition of extreme cheating during the 70's and 80's.

Dude, you can't criticize someone else for having fairweather fans. We all do. That's one of the SEC's finest traits...

...outside of Aggieland and South Carolina of course. Those frickers would pack their stadiums to watch a winless football team. They're just that much crazier.

There are two states between Florida and LOUISIANA. Granted, the distance as a crow flies between the two ain't much, but just pointing out your SEC geography fail.
