There's still about 1000 seats available for the UT-Mizzou game available on stubhub. Sure, most are in the nosebleeds but that hardly matters. Y'all have always been good at making noise. Come out and support your team and ours.

In all seriousness, it's always fun to take in the environment when your team isn't playing. I know a lot of DAWGS live near (or at least near enough) to Knoxville that it's an easy trip and I do think it would be a lot of fun.

I'm sure scalpers will have tix on game day too - they always do.

You wouldn't have any seats available if it was Tennessee fighting for the East title and not Georgia.

Maybe not but it being a night game has hurt the family crowd a bit. Last week's game against Kentucky was a sell out and I think a lot of fans are still frozen from it.

But hellz bellz ~1000 seats on stubhub is hardly a cause for concern. I'd also be surprised if more don't sell on game day - people show up to our games all the time buying tix from scalpers.

It honestly would be fun. Like I mentioned earlier, lots of people have said that the best way to enjoy an SEC stadium (that's not your own) is to go when your team isn't playing. Night time at Neyland is almost always electric and it's worth it for that.

With a reason to cheer, you'd have a lot of fun.

If I was driving distance I would go. I missed a road trip to UT in college because I was too hungover and let my ticket go to waste. Still want to see that stadium and it would be fun supporting the home team.

Go Vols tomorrow

I think a good portion of it is Mizzou sent back a big chunk of their allotment. Like 2/3rds or so. I can understand why too - it's a long trip for them and I think many are making the Arky road trip next week. This close to Christmas, yeah I said Christmas, folks are saving up money for presents as well.

Those I've talked to about it said they'd already made 2-3 trips and so were skipping Knoxville because of that. Most SECE games are big trips for them.

Arky is in Mizzou unfortunately. I don't think Arky wins that game. We're counting on you

Saw someone post it elsewhere. I haven't verified the exact numbers/return though so it could be wrong. We allot a great deal of tix for visitors tho. It would also make sense out of how/why we sold out the Kentucky game but not the Mizzou game.

The rest comes from people I've talked to personally.

I thought the SEC visitor allotment was 6500.

Id be very surprised if we sent back 2/3 of our allotment.

It happens more than you think. No offense but I doubt Mizzou sold all 6.5k of their tickets for a 9 hour drive. We have tickets returned for almost every game except for USCe, AU, and GT.

And sometimes student tickets get resold. Especially if UT started Thanksgiving break already and a lot returned their tickets(we had some GT tickets go on sale today since a lot of students returned them.

Yeppers. It's really not the big deal tRant makes it out to be. Happens all the time. And for student resells - we can't resell ours because they're attached to cards that have to be scanned. I'm not sure about visiting students.

ETA: Another thing is that a lot of fans don't buy via their university ticket office anymore but through stubhub and other places.

We do cards too but you can donate your ticket to a pool for other students if you aren't going(and you're encouraged to do so because unused tickets count against you getting tickets next year). If not enough people claim them than they go back on sale to the public.

Found an article, not sure how accurate but y'all give out 9500 and we only bought 3500 apparently.

That's pretty pathetic. We brought almost 10k the last time we visited.
