If our offense plays to normal standards, rice only gets off around 50-60 plays and accumulates 250-300 total yards.
It's been said already but 5 yards per play is actually pretty good. Not to mention over 90 freaking plays. You would think running that many plays would wear a defense down.

Here's the thing though:
A&M had 5 three and outs resulting from dropped passes by:
Ricky Seals-Jones
Malcome Kennedy
Josh Reynolds
If you're relying on those receivers to consistently drop passes, you're in deep shite.
The score could have easily been 59-10.

Y'all should be making fun of our offense. 5 3 and outs and generally looked crappy all game.
Keep talking about how bad the defense is when it held rice to 10 points without forcing a single turnover. If Rice was running roughshod over us like you state they would have scored I dunno 31 points. like last year.

There was bad execution all around. No one is denying that. The field was complete shite as well which affected both teams, not to mention Penn Wagers' complete inability to call the most blatant and obvious holding calls.
Not having A.J. Hilliard sucks and we likely don't get him back the rest of the season.
Shaan Washington, who is our most athletic linebacker on the roster, is back for SMU.
Jordan Mastrogiovanni (starting mike) will likely play against SMU and will certainly be back by Arkansas
Tommie Sanders is a liability in run defense. At least 5 of Rice's big runs resulted from a missed tackle by Sanders, including what should have been 3 sacks. We need to see more of Otaro Alaka and less of Sanders.
One of Brett Wade or Reggie Chevis must step up during practice. It seemed that Bass played the entire game.

And A&M doesn't lose we just run out of time. Give me a break. If Rice had 200 yards of offense and scored 28 points yall wouldnt give 2 shits about our "yards per play" or any other stat.
The rant wants to believe A&M sucks so they will find any stats that support while simultaneously ignoring the ones that contradict it.
It's why everyone just knew USCe was going to lose to East Carolina and get spanked by Georgia.
