All bowls have to be played. And with how this year has played out not enough 6-6 teams will be available

They added about 10 more garbage bowl games over the past few years.
There are more bowl spots than there are qualified teams now.
To the point they have to make exceptions for various 5-7 teams to go to fill the spots.

Too many bowl games. Teams that are.500 or below should not be "rewarded". Most teams actually lose money going to these shitty games.

Same reason that in the NBA if players foul out and leave one team with only 4 players, that team has to put in a player that fouled out earlier.

bowl games are so cities can get tourism in the winter months.
they aint gonna cancel them just b/c enough teams didn't hit 6-6.
