The BBQ gang were a subset of Tub's assistant coaches who were more interested in competitive BBQ than in coaching football.
Probably because they were very much better in the former rather than the latter.

Well, sucks to be him then.
Not claiming he was a good coach or anything, just he (and other OCs brought in) rarely get a chance to duplicate the success they had with their own assistants.

A bunch of Tubby's assistants that followed him from Ole Miss. Hugh Nall, Eddie Gran (OC at Cincy with him), Greg Knox, Don Dunn and Terry Price. They didn't like Franklin because his O was radically different from what they were used to.
