I have been a fan of College Baseball since my time at FSU in the 70s. This was the best damn series ai have ever seen, bar none. Pitching, hitting, fantastic plays at the plate. Had it all. Congrats to the Gators and especially the Tigers. Just hope My Noles can get back in the mix in the next few years!

I agree, do you think it's due to Les Miles' tendency to make us panic in nearly every game?

It was an ugly as shite loss, but it didn't seem to impact our psyche.

Gator fans, just curious if Sully is catching flak on social media? I didn't see him make any coaching mistakes but I was more focused on LSU coaching / team .

Good way to look at it.... games 2 and 3 were a wash....series was decided in game 1 which was anything but lackluster

I thought he made a couple of mistakes. First he left his first pitcher in to long when he truly didn't have his pitches working and second he didn't even go out to check on his pitcher who got hit by the ball and had to flub his next pitch.

Gotta give florida props. After game 2 and no skenes to start. I was puckered no lie

Great season gators. Sully is a good coach. Sometimes baseball is strange. And that was a strange finish. Hurd was unbeliveable though. So many people can be chosen as the diff but he was it to me. Dude gave up that early rip and got to work. He has come a long way

In hindsight, Florida was a notch below LSU and Wake Forest...and probably Tennessee (but close).

Very good team. But, LSU handled it's starters pretty easily in all 3 games. You pitch around Langford and pitch Caglianone tough and it's done.

Thats oversimplistic - Evans was literally the hottest hitter in the CWS.

Rivera and Kurland also came up big multiple times.

Florida's offense next year will be even better tbh - the issue again is the pitching.

I thought that it was a very competitive series. Both teams had there moments and deserved to be in the finals. Cheers and congratulations to both teams. As a Tiger fan, I was surprised that the Tigers won it all without the best picture in the country being on the mound. The extra time and games the Tigers had coming from the losers bracket was what makes what they did so special. Until next year, Geaux Tigers and hail the the SEC.

I don't care what anyone says. That was the 2 ELITE teams of the elite teams. Clearly the best 2 teams. Don't give me Wake, I think Florida would big boy tf outta Wake and beat them best out of 3. Florida you're that guy you hate to play against but would die beside you on his team. I actually really like the attitude that team has. Rioppelle** is a dogg. Didn't like him until I watched the press conference. Dude fricking loves Florida like these Louisiana boys love LSU. I can respect that in a major way. Great series

I said from the start of the series that the winner of game 1 would win the series. That game was a classic, congrats to LSU on the Natty, well deserved.
