I’ve heard from fans of teams not playing in MCWS…that the championship series was lackluster compared to all the other games …

But let’s look at it…we had one helluva first game that went into extra innings

Then we had two blowout games …where the fans of each team got to see what would happen if their bats opened up ….there really wasn’t an opportunity to bemoan “if we only hit like we did in the regular season” ….we each got that game.

The only real complaint was that Skenes didn’t pitch but ….did y’all really need him? Nope y’all didn’t

LSU and Florida have the most successful athletic programs of the 21st century.

I might hate Florida, but I still respect Florida

if Game 1 happens Game 3 people would be talking about it being an all time series.

First game was right up there with that last game we played against Wake.

yeah i thought it was a great series but 2 games where the outcome is decided maybe 5 inning in just takes the steam out of some people’s sails.

game 1 was fricking nerve wracking though

Was better imo. I love low scoring pitchers duels but I do like to see a few runs at least. 3-2 and 4-3 are my favorite types of baseball games

It was an exciting World Series for sure but I still think subtle changes need to be made but I understand it's hard to do because you don't want teams and fans having to spend a long time in Omaha when it used to go all the way to Wednesday

I still have a hard time with a championship series without someone like Skenes being able to pitch and I would say the same thing if Florida was in the same boat if someone like Waldrep was unavailable

I don't know how you fix that though and it's terrible coaches are even put in a position where they might have to compromise a player that will be selected very high in two weeks

LSU getting blown out Sun was actually a blessing because it allowed LSU to keep the pitching intact for Monday

No Florida lover here, but we have had some of the most memorable games, in several sports, between the two teams. They had a hell of a team and I was apprehensive until far longer than I should have knowing they could come back quickly. Congratulations on one hell of a year Gators. You have my complete respect as a program!

I had more fun watching college baseball the last 2 weeks than I can ever remember. I'm grateful my team came out on top but I like that Florida team a lot. I'm glad that was the finals match up.

Everyone outside of Florida and LSU wanted a repeat of the three games LSU and Wake played and getting all three games to repeat those three games was not happening...

I had a glimmer of hope in the 3rd when we had two on and it was mentioned that UF was just one strong hit from making it 6-5 …i probably stayed watching until the 5th inning and cashed it ….i did notice my overall mood was better as soon as i turned off the game lol…i stopped getting pissy with my wife and didn’t yell at the kids for being too loud…lol

That 2nd inning just made me mad lol

Well said, and don’t let the peanut gallery get to you. LSU and UF is the way it should have ended, and it was a great series. I agree with your assessments, and hopefully we get to do it again next year as well. Nothing better than two SEC programs in the final series. It says a lot about how strong the SEC is in baseball, as well as all the titles won.

It was a great CWS. No complaints here obviously. I just wish something could be done to make sure both teams could get the rest they need to play each other at full strength. Not seeing Skenes pitch at all in the WS is a shame.

I think they left out the strikeout records that were broken in Skenes vs Lowder, and the fact the this Tiger team is either the 1st or 2nd (?) to win it all playing 7 games in 8 days.

It’s the best CWS I’ve watched, and that includes 96 (though that’s still best finish).

If I know I’m going to take an L and have a winner take all the next day, I’m completely fine with getting my arse kicked in game 2.

I would’ve much rather LSU lost 24-4 in an assbeating than 1-0 in a heartbreaker.

After the games against Wake and game 1, both blow outs were a relief to watch. The first obviously not going out way but not stressful since it was over and the second, well you know…
