The Mississippi Delta, that's where all the diamonds are.

There's only ~10 recruits in AL every year, and they are usually split between the schools. The fact both major football teams are successful is actually impressive.

Itty Bitty Mexicans. Most of them just generally don't have the size to be competitive in D1 football. That's why Los Fresnos or any of the other south Texas schools will seem unbeatable in certain years in their respective districts, then get skull dragged when they meet up with CUJO, Smithson Valley, MacArthur, etc in the playoffs.

Louisiana breaks down like this. The ranking reflects the number and quality of players each area produces.

1. New Orleans metro and the River parishes
2. Baton Rouge metro and the Florida parishes
3. NE Louisiana (Monroe and around)
4. Acadiana (Lafayette and around)
5. NW Louisiana (Shreveport and around)
6. Central Louisiana (Alexandria and around)

I wish east Texas got cut out of Texas, absolutely no talent comes from there, just kids who are playing for fun, now Houston, Austin and the DFW has incredible talent, wish only those 3 parts were considered TXHSFB rest of Texas would probably get beaten by some 3A school in Arkansas.

Not sure if serious. Tyler, Longview, Palestine, Lufkin, and Beaumont/Port Arthur/Orange kick out a shitload of talent.

All of the schools along the Mississippi River from BR to New Orleans (especially those in rural areas) consistently churn out NFL talent (especially defensive backs, WR's, and HB's). North Louisiana (especially around Monroe) produces a lot of QB's.

Nashville has been improving over the past couple years but Memphis always has talent for both fball/bball.

Dekalb and Gwinnett counties in metro Atlanta...Dekalb had more FBS signees in 2012 than the entire state of Pennsylvania.

That's a damned impressive stat is what that is. Pennsylvania has been strong historically. Maybe not as strong as the SEC hotbeds but still strong.

One HS in Dekalb(Stephenson) I believe led the country that year in the number of FBS signees...couple of em went to LSU I believe...sorry had to edit...was wrong about the number regarding FBS...they did have more combined D1 and FCS.

Gwinnett had 57 D1 signees last year as well.Did not include FCS schools,

Yea Stephenson is a D1 factory. We typically have 1 or 2 players on our roster from Stephenson alone.

Recruiting metro Atlanta is HUGE for SC. About 1/3 of our team comes out of there..

SC Hotbeds
1. Upstate SC - (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson and surrounding counties)
2. Metrolina - Rock Hill and other Charlotte suburbs
3. Metro Columbia
4. Metro Charleston - (Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester)

All four of those areas are important but the first two areas produce the majority of elite talent. Clowney, Lattimore, Gilmore came from those areas.

Jeffery grew up not too far from Columbia. Charleston produces its share of linemen and occasionally skill players (Bruce Ellington, AJ Green).
