I'll agree that the defense still has some proving to do cuz BYU is putrid on offense BUT BYU has a stout defense and the fact that we were able to move the ball at will on them was very promising.
Obviously the BYU D isn't Bama but they are very much equivalent to MSU or any other middle of the pack SEC team.

8-4 before the season and still 8-4 now

I had the Razorbacks at 8 wins with a decent shot at 9 in the regular season.
I'm a bit more shaky on holding onto 8 wins after losing Pulley for the season. With the passing attacks we are going to face not having our best CB, the one guy we can leave on an island and not worry about, on the field is going to hurt us.
His backup is a freshman and that young man is going to have to grow up fast.
Still at 8 wins (with a potential surprise 9th) but our margin for error has gotten quite a bit smaller.

My original prediction was 9-3 or 8-4, but our offense, at least in our first game, didn't look as improved as I expected it would. Not sure if we were holding back plays for SEC play, or not. Was not impressed by our offense.
Our defense played a bit better than I expected, and our special teams played the best I have ever seen.
Not sure how much can be attributed to the opponent.
I would probably now lean to 7-5 to 8-4, so I'm adding another loss to what I saw from this past Saturday. Probably the USC game in 2 weeks.

I'm still at 8-4 for AU, but this week could change that.

I had 5-7 for A&M. But I'm thinking more along the lines of 3-9 or 4-8. The most optimistic Aggie out there seems to have 6-6 at this point
