And before some dumbass says "He was at Ole Miss. Nobody can win there", the guy had multiple pro bowlers, first round draft picks and first team All-Americans ON THE SAME TEAM!

For example. His teams in 2006 and 2007 that went a combined 7-17 (2-14 in the SEC) had the following players.

Patrick Willis
Greg Hardy
Mike Wallace
Michael Oher
Peria Jerry (First team all-american and first round draft pick)
Dexter Mccluster
Benjarvus Green-Ellis
John Jerry (current starting offensive lineman for the Giants)
Jamarca Sanford (Currently with the Saints)

But idiots would have you believe he couldn't recruit talent to Ole Miss and didn't have any good players.

Ouch, what a shite coach

No kidding, having, what, twelve good players? What a plethora of talent.

Most LSU weren't happy with the coaching search and the results... since then, he has made all the right moves; now we'll see what happens.

Funny though that Arkansas fans think it's funny... they had Miles number... now they won't win their super bowl anymore with him gone.

Indeed, it was his recruiting success that formed the nucleus of Nutt's early success. This is why there is some optimism at LSU. Orgeron is.a known commodity in terms of recruiting prowess.
He stated that he learned from his mistakes at Ole Miss. He has great coordinators and assistants and he will let them do their job. It's the Dabo Sweeney Clemson model. Dabo had never been a coordinator or a head coach. But he is enthusiastic and can recruit. He has had outstanding coordinators at CU.
O isn't ripping off his shirt an challenging his players one on one. He's not chewing arse out as he did to his Rebel QB in the 2005 Ole Miss v LSU game.
Regardless, if I was the OP, I'd be more worried about the blimp who is your HC. If he gains any more weight small articles will begin to orbit his massive frame.

Arkansas? Mississippi?

Let's see...

In 2016 LSU outscored those teams by a combined score of 76-31, outgained them in total yards 1,062 to 616, and outrushed them 701 to 188 yards - combined.

701 rushing yards to 188.

Compare that to last year when LSU lost both games by a combined 77-31, being outgained by a total of 948 yards to 762 yards.

Orgeron completely turned the tables on both of those programs, and you want to talk shite about the dude?

Yeah, you a scary.

Yea it wasn't like those teams sucked or anything, it was totally Ed Orgeron's tremendous coaching prowess that was the difference in the 2015 and 2016 games.

After LSU beat Arkansas, I saw the silver lining as it strengthened Ed O's chances of getting the job. Then, LSU lost to Florida in a fashion frequently associated with Les Miles and I thought "welp, he's definitely not getting the job now, guess that embarrassment was for nothing." LSU hired him anyway

Ed frickin Orgeron, the Ed Orgeron who was one of the worst head coaches in SEC history, yes that Ed Orgeron

Must suck thinking you're a top 5 team then hire Ed O
Make no mistake about it, very few LSU Alums/Fans liked the dysfunctional process of how he was hired by "Snow Peas Joe."

Orgeron will have to win big time almost immediately with "Canaranda" or both he and Alleva will be history in two years.

Considering how bad the Offense was with Miles, Orgeron worked miracles over night.

He knows the "LSU Culture" and what will be expected.

He should be fine with Matt Canada and Dave Aranda, both considered Top 5 Coordinators........................

With Les's players and Ed didn't do anything but Rah Rah Yaw Yaw on the sidelines, mumble dumb motivational phrases like 1 team 1 heartbeat, Sorry but Ed got lucky, and he stabbed Les in the back with the admin.

are you serious? stab Les in the back? every coach on that staff sans cam Cameron knew Les was done. they were elated that coach O took over. as far as him not doing anything you obviously don't know the tasks and duties of a HC in college football.

the biggest problem Les had was he tried to "coach" the offense. he coached the OL and then he set the game plans and had the last say on play calling.

no sir, les miles getting fired is a perfect example of addition by subtraction. methinks you, as a bama fan, wanted to keep les at LSU for other reasons.

I think you meant to ask "when is the last time Arkansas signed a top 30 recruiting class?"

The answer to that question is this year, last year, the year before that, the year before that, etc...

I never thought I would see the day when LSU football has to hire Ole Miss retreads
