I really dont blame aggie for getting the frick out of dodge. Its gotta be hard living in someones shadow. It would be infuriating to live in someones shadow that doesnt deserve to be casting it in the first place

The difference is, Michigan actually had past accomplishments from the early 1900s to the 1920s to boast about. Texas had... Darrell Royal and a toothbrush covered in old butter.

tRant doesn't really hate Alabama, they do however, as a collective group, hate Auburn.

I don't hate Auburn. How could I hate Auburn? I'm too close to too many Auburn fans IRL.
Some of my best friends are Auburn fans. (Seriously.
) I kind of feel badly for them, but I don't hate them by any means.

The hate existed long before Updyke or Updyke jr.
I know it's hard to accept, but Alabama owns Southern Football. Just like the Yankees in Baseball, the Celtics in the NBA. Even when our team isn't very good, it's still your biggest game.
But don't fret, your kids and grandkids will hate us too. Because the dominant force of The Crimson Tide was around before Saban and will be around after him.

The CAPS would seem to INDICATE arrogance.
Posts like this one are why so many want Alabama to get humbled.
It is not that Alabama does not have a great tradition. It is that some say IT IS THE BEST EVER!!! and WILL BE FOREVER.
I don't hate Alabama at all. I think some of the fans are extremely arrogant and obnoxious, but that is not solely the domain of Alabama.
I am not invested if Alabama wins or loses. I will chuckle with satisfaction, however, when people like the OP get trolled for throwing out such comments.
