I'm a realist. I want the Tigers to win. I review matchups to see how we can win (hense the post), but at the end of the day we are ranked #19th and they are #1. The notion that you have to be 100% a homer or somehow you are a bad fan is stupid and what makes so many fanbases annoying as shite.

Our chances improved significantly after the coaching changes. I'm looking forward to a good game.

The team has no pressure on them. They're free. Losing doesn't matter and that makes it easy to play without discipline. The players can do or say anything they want and Coach O just goes along hoping they win so he has a chance to snag a job he's unqualified for.

If I was an LUS fan I would be pulling for Alabama. If the ball bounces the wrong way enough times LSU could luck out and win a tight game and Orgeron could get the job. That would be a long term disaster for LSU. Orgeron is a loser and LSU is a loser for even letting him be the interim coach.

Interesting opinion that could prove true. LSU people don't want to admit it, but Orgeron really hasn't done anything to prove himself worthy. He beat a historically bad Missouri team, a mediocre CUSA team, and a demoralized Ole Miss team.

He could prove to be the real deal, but he could end up being the Orgeron that we all know and love.

Agree with most of this. LSU's improvements at QB and with the general offensive gameplan have made this game much more evenly matched.

Don't even start.

I'm hoping it's a good game. We need a tight game as we prepare for our stretch run. We thought A&M could help but...no.
We just need a game to get deep in the 4th where we're still having to play our starters. Prepare well, hit us in the mouth. We need that.

2.) A more creative offense. Last year LSU got embarrassed because they were owned on the line. As per usual, Les Miles refused to adjust and LSU looked the fool. LSU can not run it up the middle in the I all game and expect to win. Our line is not good enough for that. However, Coach Ensminger has shown that LSU will be more diverse on offense. We look a lot different when both #5 & #7 are on the field. LSU is more likely to try and go east and west to open the middle than ever before.

3.) An improved passing game. LSU has a QB who doesn't lock onto targets and fail to get off their first read. If LSU can hit some mid range passes out of the slot and on the edge, it only makes life easier on the running game. I just hope we don't try to force passes down the field when it is not needed just to try and clear the box. I can see some deep stuff turning into INTs real quick. I don't think we need to throw 20+ yards down the field if we can regularly get 6-8 yards and create short running downs.

These 2 have been proven false. But I'll give you Tiger stadium and a team that hasn't quit yet

If you feel the need to start an optimistic thread I tend to think you are scared shiteless or you are already trying to cope with why LSU might lose.

LSU is playing a big game. Quit being a pu$$y and quit handing out ammo.

Great post OP. Some good responses that show this board isn't complete garbage.

Ignore the trailer trash fans. They're too busy pushing their wives into doorknobs when their team loses to think rationally.

Jalen Hurts is a cool cat, but he's not as seasoned as McCarron or Sims was going into this game. He may blow the doors off LSU, but he could have a few true freshman moments.

Alabama will play anybody, anywhere. Tiger Stadium being no different. I just hope we can rattle the young QB into a few mistakes and capitalize with 7, if he does.

LSU fans are not hiring the coach at LSU. We can debate who the next coach will be, but its not in our hands as to who we hire.....
Just thought I would post that seeing how some people on this board thing we have a say so..

me too. which is why I think we shut down their offense.
That plus stop the ST/Def TD(s) and we win by 7-10

did i mention how stupid this was?
FSU is #12 and got gang raped by the ville and lost at home to UNC. We lost 2 road games and are 19. you think polls matter? or are an accurate representation?

last week OM was ranked higher than LSU with an extra loss. The polls dont make sense. Stop looking at them and you will be better off
