Reasons to be Optimistic as a Tiger Fan.

If most LSU fans are being honest, LSU will likely lose to Alabama on Nov. 5th. However, like most teams that have played Alabama, there is reason for hope.
1.) Tiger Stadium at night. While Alabama won't be scared or intimidated to play, LSU does play better at home than on the road. Alabama of course has a great record at Tiger Stadium, but the last time Alabama beat LSU on the road by at least 10 was 2002. The last two trips to Tuscaloosa has been rough, but hopefully LSU can play inspired at home.
2.) A more creative offense. Last year LSU got embarrassed because they were owned on the line. As per usual, Les Miles refused to adjust and LSU looked the fool. LSU can not run it up the middle in the I all game and expect to win. Our line is not good enough for that. However, Coach Ensminger has shown that LSU will be more diverse on offense. We look a lot different when both #5 & #7 are on the field. LSU is more likely to try and go east and west to open the middle than ever before.
3.) An improved passing game. LSU has a QB who doesn't lock onto targets and fail to get off their first read. If LSU can hit some mid range passes out of the slot and on the edge, it only makes life easier on the running game. I just hope we don't try to force passes down the field when it is not needed just to try and clear the box. I can see some deep stuff turning into INTs real quick. I don't think we need to throw 20+ yards down the field if we can regularly get 6-8 yards and create short running downs.
4.) Improved team morale. Coach O has greatly improved since his days at Ole Miss. To say otherwise is foolish. The players seem to be having more fun, are playing great, and they know they are playing for his job. I think they go harder and don't give up as quickly.
All in all, I still think we lose, but I sure as hell think we have a way better shot than any of the other teams in the country of beating Alabama. Should be a great game.

No one is selling out every game of the season. Stop acting like it is an LSU only problem. HDTVs and the home entertainment systems have killed attendance is a number of sports. But put LSU at night at home against a team like Bama and it is a lot different than playing Directional School U.

Alabama by a td unless LSU breaks some big plays. Need a defensive/ST score or a long LF run and no meaningful turnovers. Probably asking too much.

Listen, most Bama fans know that over the last several years that our season runs thru lsu and auburn but each week is a tough out in the SEC and any team can beat one another. All it takes is a bad or good bounce to get you over the hump as every SEC team has a ton of talent.
The problem is idiotic fans who take it to the extreme and guarantee victories or put too much pressure on these young men.

This. All of this. It's too bad the trailer trash mentality is so prevalent everywhere.

I really like Orgeron, as much as I like to rib LSU fans about him I think he's the right man for the job. Most of all , he has given you guys hope. And I'm glad LSU fans are back. I had almost started to miss you guys a little.

I really dislike Orgeron. He's a Coonass Clown. The team has no pressure on them. They're free. Losing doesn't matter and that makes it easy to play without discipline. The players can do or say anything they want and Coach O just goes along hoping they win so he has a chance to snag a job he's unqualified for.
If I was an LUS fan I would be pulling for Alabama. If the ball bounces the wrong way enough times LSU could luck out and win a tight game and Orgeron could get the job. That would be a long term disaster for LSU. Orgeron is a loser and LSU is a loser for even letting him be the interim coach.

OP
One of the most level-headed posts I have seen from an LSU fan since this last week's games.
Hopefully you can rub off on most of your LSU brethren, because lets face it, they have provided shite threads and posts by the 100's since this past weekend.

Why do you continue to post dumb stuff? You just seem miserable. He said that LSU seems to play better at home. What part of that garnered your response? When's the last time that you have been to a game? 90% of the time it's half full??? Just dumb! Sure didn't look half full for Ole Miss. Les Miles boring brand of football can take credit for some of that, but even when he was here it wasn't half empty for the big games:Take a step back and read the crap that you post. It's time you take a break from here.

Wow!!! Just as I post to Lsulyle for idiotic posting , you clearly take high honors for the dumbest thing that I've read on here today. I hope this is just a childish immature troll attempt. Otherwise seek help.
