He treated the combine like he does games and took half of it off.

If he takes off three out of four plays then what is the point?

Because he gets a sack on the 4th

Aaron Donald should be #1 overall. More athletic at the premium position on defense. He actually has the college production to match his athleticism.

When was the last time that a DT went #1 overall? Not flaming, just wondering.

ETA: Dan Wilkinson to the bungles. 1994. DT was drafted #1 in 91,92 & 94

Greg Robinson says hello. There are also plenty of studs that are going to be drafted. CJ Mosely is a stud at LB, we have a couple of stud WR's from the SEC and you are just flat out wrong.

Dan Wilkinson back in 1994. Before that it wasn't that rare for a DT to go #1. Actually, there was a lot more diversity in #1 picks before the last 20 years. From the 1995 draft to present, 12 of 19 #1 picks were QBs. From 1994 to 1974, 21 drafts, only six QBs were drafted #1.

Yes South Carolina had Clowney and a bunch of very good players ..and have nothing to show for it.

No SEC Championships no Crystal Footballs....nothing.

Quite possible.

Mock drafts that have him going lower are made to spark debate

Yeah. Because the guys making the mock drafts don't care about how their own football knowledge and connections are viewed. They only want to spark debate.

When the Texans' front office says they have not made a decision, it's because that's proper etiquette and tradition

What? It has nothing to do with either of those things. It has to do with the fact that the draft is 2 months away and anything can happen between now and then - including someone offering them a trade that is too good to pass up, Clowney getting hurt while training (I know at the notion that he actually trains), someone wowing them in their individual workout, etc.

False. Now if you want to argue he should be that's definitely a fair argument.

Well this "stud" looked like absolute crap in the combine and he has the work ethic of a 2 year old. I wouldn't take him in the second round.
