Realistically if not Scott Drew, who will Kentucky have to settle for?

Seems like they should be happy to have Drew but reading their boards, it seems like most of their fanbase are still hung up on names that have already turned them down.

Who would they get?

Let's try to keep these names realistic in this one. Thanks in advance.

Theyll end up going after beard but the longer they wait that may not happen.

It is looking more and more like John Calipari.

more realistic than hurley who some of their fans hilariously think they have a chance at.

Hasn't been mentioned with them, but Tommy Lloyd from Arizona would be a good hire.

After the big names turn them down (hurley, Donovan) the list won't go any longer than Drew or Pearl. It will be one of those 2.

Finally a realistic backup plan mentioned. I’m sure their fans wouldn’t be thrilled but Pearl would probably be a decent stopgap until they can hire a new AD to make a more longterm hire.

I’d probably be a little concerned about his health though given his age and BMI.

You call Chris Beard back, take him to the Derby, take him golfing, hookers, blow, whatever it takes.

Tom Cream would be a good ‘un for Kentucky. He just needs another shot.

I think I’d probably just settle for Pearl and try again in a few years when the type 2 diabetes kicks in.

Unironically i think Pearl would be fun as hell at UK. But he feels like he’d frick up in the tournament just as much.

Yeah I think that's a valid concern. He's like an even worse Cal when March comes.

But with all these other better names turning them down, I think they could probably do a lot worse.
