You sir are delusional! Do you know what he learned by taking the USC job…..obviously not! In fact I imagine you will be getting a lot of seasoned HC not taking your phone call.

I think you will be. Who wants to go take on the unknown of

- An ongoing NCAA investigation
- An ongoing Title IX investigation
- A cash strapped Athletic Dept (you have to pay off O and his staff)
- Lastly work for a system lead by a bunch of super woke academics….like way beyond the typical woke academics.

Somewhat in that order would be nice

Yes but have they been vaccinated?

Saban recommended Houston Nutt when he left for Miami, he might take it if offered.

I would have loved to have had Houston nutt in 2005. He did so much more with less at the QB position and always had amazing oline and RB. He would have done well. I thi k better then Les miles

The only real answer is Bobby Boucher! He is from Louisiana and will bring the energy to LSU! Plus the players will always have great water to drink. What fun to watch him coach against Saban in a game!

No sure about Hc but I’d do whatever it takes to hire Tony Romo as an OC or even DC. This guy can read D’s and O’s better than anyone I’ve seen. He also knows how to make immediate adjustments, something that most can’t do anymore.

Romo makes 18 million a year. He isn't going to be an OC.

1. Wake up! NCAA has zero power and haven’t in years.
2. That only affects those people that were involved, which will be no one left in the current Athletic Dept after O’s departure.
3. You read too much fiction. The LSU athletic Dept (like all SEC athletic departments) are flush in cash.
4. This has some merit, but if you look at LSU’s AD, he goes after proven HC winners and lands them. He won’t allow that type of meddling for the cash cow program.

The problem with this list is that a lot of the really good ones aren't, perhaps, really good at LSU.

Fickell is heavily a Midwest guy. What works up there, where he has his recruiting ties, might not work down on the bayous. I think he's lurking for the Ohio State job... which he would probably be amazing at.

Bob Stoops is happily retired. Why come back? He could have stayed the head coach Okie and made the playoffs (and got whipped) every year.

So the list starts to narrow. Kiffin could do well there... but it is Lane Kiffin. He is a tremendous coach but when he goes off the rails he really goes off the rails. If you can chisel Napier out of ULL he has the recruiting ties but is he up to coaching in the big boy league?

I think LSU just has a couple of coaches in the mix for the job. God help them if they don't land any of them or they will get stuck with the dreaded "Chad Morris" hire. Its a good job, it is a nice place to live, but are the coaches you want really on the market right now?

He would make twice that of Saban to be an OC. Just unrealistic and ignorant.
