Offensively LSU- Alabama will try to take away the run first. They have done this all season. We will have to have success in an one back set. I would like to see Jazz in this game. He is a huge 6'5 230 WR. He can help TEs seal those Linebackers so we can hit the edges. I think Guice has a better game then LF. Together they will have 200 yrds if LSU can play physical for 4 quarters. Passing WILL be key. Absolutely... can't have one turn over in the passing game. Can't happen.

Defensively LSU- We are soft in the middle of that DL...Bad. Anytime I needed yards, that's where I would look for them. We are fast sideline to sideline but we are not playing sound at LB. Our LBs fly out of position from time to time. The backside plays are dangerous for us. I think we can get a few sacks on the young QB. The question will be on what side of the field will it happen on. Big plays have to happen. We will need the defense to score... or get us close so the offense can put points on the board. We can't play from behind in this game.

Special Teams: No kickoffs out of bounds..... Repeat
Hidden yrds. Sound FG kicking...

Hang in the fight and someone is going to make a play.. I hope it's us that strike first.

Tigers by 3-7

LSU O line vs Bama D line is not a great match up for the Tigers. We'll see though. Adrenaline does plenty in a game of emotions.

Bama is better in 2016 why as compared to previous Bama teams?

Now the season has unfolded somewhat, who has Bama beaten? Tennessee sucks yet gained over 700 yards and almost beat A&M despite 7 turnovers. A&M gave Bama a decent game.

Look, I know Bama is good, but the hype at this point is absurd. Bama has a QB who can't pass so the offense must be able to run the ball. Bama won't run the ball on LSU which means Aranda will force Hurts into mistakes.

Bama's defense has relied upon turnovers caused by playing from ahead, especially the secondary. And Bama's secondary is still mediocre.Bama's front 7 has equally enjoyed playing from ahead because it lacks depth.

All of the above explain exactly why LSU is going to win. LSU is equally talented but has advantages because LSU will force Bama to pass and commit turnovers. LSU will run the ball on Bama which means play action will expose Bama's secondary even more. Bama cannot cover DJ Chark and Desean Smith. And LSU is at home and must win.

LSU is winning this game by 10-14 points.

Ban bet me Gumps if you feel so strongly about this 2016 greatest of all time team.

I understand where you get this however,
We have been without two starting Offensive Lineman for the last 4 games. So yeah, we will see.

Don't underestimate Etling. No, he's not a world-beater in terms of talent, but he's very cerebral & good at adjusting to what the defense is giving him. He can do just enough to keep bama guessing as we've finally gotten into the habit of running different plays from the same set. He's finally given our offense a sense of balance, which we haven't had for several seasons.

Regardless, it's good to hear some level-headed insight from a tider. Most of them think they'll win just bc they've won the past 5, as if that has any bearing on what happenes Saturday. Upsets happen. Streaks end. Revenge gets exacted. Gerry DiNardo took an unranked Tiger team & toppled the No. 1 Gators at home in '97, and the talent discrepancy was much bigger then.

Realistic LSU vs BAMA thoughts

realistically i think it comes down to lsu's offensive line vs. bama's defensive front 7.
i believe the game will be tight throughout and should bama win by double digits, it will come late in the 4th.
a very big key for lsu is to not get behind big early and be forced to pass. a one dimensional team will not beat bama...it's going to take balance...kind of run when they expect pass and pass when they expect run deal.
in the end i say bama 27 lsu 20.
fwiw....i'd feel more confident had eddie jackson not got hurt.

Missed the realistic part. Change subject to My Suck Up to LSU Crowd.

It will be a good SEC game like most years. LSU is 5-2 with an interim coach, and not a good one at that. Talent all over the field, like every year. Bama will stuff the run and impact the QB play. Per usual.

Game will be won at the line of scrimmage.

Bama should be the squad worried about being one-dimensional. Hurts can't pass more than 10 yards downfield with any accuracy. That's the "red elephant" in the room that the media and Bama fans willfully ignore.

Bama fans counting on history to be its greatest strength. My point exactly.

Only way LSU has a chance is for Etling to play the best game of his life. Maybe, he can do that. I don't know. But, I think that has to happen for LSU to win.

I agree that Bama will likely win a close, hard fought game, but I could also see Bama coming in focused like a laser and LSU being too hyped up to play well and getting drilled.

I expect two teams to get after it a very loud venue with someone, hopefully a Tiger, making a big play in the 4th quarter to win the game

My thoughts are that the game gets away from LSU early.

When that happens the LSU players begin to let thoughts,
of losing the last five games to Bama start to wear on
their psych.

LSU players are being told that can play with Bama, when
they get behind and start seeing the LSU fans heading
to the doors they quit, and Bama curb stomp them the rest of the game.

Then LSU fans will then want to run Coach O outta of town.

But hey there is always next year

Realistic?
We win easily because we are are far better team with a far better coach.
We stomp the team with a coach that has a ~5-22 record in the SEC

this dude is already melting and the game is still 3 days away.

As far as real talk about this game, I think LSU will know early how this game will go. If the O-line can somewhat hold back the Bama front 7 LSU will have a chance. If the LSU O-line can't block the front 7 it could be long night.
