Bama looked really good. Perhaps not as good as the past few years (offense especially) but they are still easily a contender for another NC this year. Are they beatable? Absolutely. Will anyone actually beat them? Time will tell.

Good teams don't play like FSU did in the 2nd half. They got screwed on a missed PI in the end zone and then absolutely fell apart.

They looked about par for the first game course. Yeah, they bitchslapped USC, but usually they struggle a bit with their opening opponents before pulling away. I'm know there are others, but I'm remembering VT, WVU, and Wisky as games they won but didn't show any late season form in doing so. Tough opponents, early games, not unexpected.
While MTSU is actually a respectable opponent for its weight class, I wish we played P5 opponents to start more often. Yeah, we're not gonna be in the running for the NC like other teams that do that -- we're no LSU/Bama/whatever -- but it's a nice game to have on the resume. Plus maybe it would be aired on a station that doesn't resemble Radio Free Kabul.

Non Biased opinion
Bama definitely was definitely the better team. Not that FSU wasn't good. It was a physical night for both teams.
Although I think FSU has a damn solid team that will make a run for sure. It'll be interesting for them at QB. Their D is good, a lot of talented pieces on Offense. FSU just made to many errors turning the ball over and thats what cost them.

Maybe. Georgia could make some noise if they get Eason back. Florida looked horrible on Saturday but it was only one game against an elite opponent with a lot of players out with suspensions. I don't think we can count them out yet. It's hard to believe in Mississippi State simply because they're Mississippi State, but they haven't done anything yet to warrant giving up on them and they should be much improved over last year. We'll see what Tennessee looks like tonight. South Carolina and Arkansas got off to good starts, but they shouldn't be factors when it's all said and done.
