I also don't really think there's a bad coach in the SEC since croomsy is gone. But you gotta put Nutt low, since it takes him about 4 or 5 games to start doing a good job.

Saban

Richt (one "bad" year out of a decade aint too bad, made the changes needed/wanted)
Petrino (kind of Homer pick, but doing well with young players, trending up, will need at min 8 wins next year to remain here)
Miles (not the best HC, but can recruit well.)
Spurrier (average at USCe, but cant forget the florida days)
Nutt (good win no one looks at him, shites his pants when they do)
Brooks (making Kentucky a bowl gamer every year is amazing, they just never seem to be in the SECeast race tho)
Chizik - (well done for year 1)
Mullen (exceeded my expectations, MSU offense now has a pulse)
Kiffen - (worse than expected, but what can you expect from a brat-kid as a coach?)
Johnson - (good coach, just will never be great at Vandy)

Wrong, he took y'all there didn't he, or were y'all holding on to that secret play book for 50 years?

If you put Saban or Meyer above one another, it's just pure homerism. There's no logical way you can put one above the other, unless Saban blows it this year in the National Title game. If that happens, Meyer is still ahead of Saban.

I think Chizik will end up surprising some people. I actually believe he will end up being a good football coach when he gets some depth on the team.

If you guys knew the details behind SCs history besides the word 'mediocre' you would give Spurrier way more credit for what he has done thus far.

I wasn't expecting so much respect for LSU.

Here's the kicker about that...every other team in the conference does respect LSU because they know with proper coaching what we're capable of. They respect LSU but not Miles and I'm in agreement.

IMO there are 4 or 5 other coaches in the league that could step into his role at LSU and we'd be in Atlanta for certain next year.

I'd put Nutt and Miles tied for last.

We had middle of the road talent, Awful QB play, and still managed to finish fourth in the SEC.

This just isn't working.
Three in a row with a less talented team each time.
You could put Nutt at tenth and I wouldn't bat an eye.
But you completely destroy your credibility when you call Miles a better coach than Nutt.

I like these "put your coach higher than they should be" threads. Funny how they keep popping up

I wasn't aware Southern Cal affected us in such a way. No wonder we are so mediocre.

The disrespect for Miles is like the bandwagon on any other retard, media driven BS. The man is like 54-14 in 5 years, SECCG and NCCG winner and kicks arse in Bowl Games. There are many SEC teams envious of this record of accomplishment and letting their small pecker envy come through. I will concede Saban, and maybe Meyer, as better. All others need to step up to the fricking plate before they can say sh!t.
