Again, I'm sorry your feelings are hurt. We also had to deal with coming back down after our 10-15 year run. It's ok, we'll both get back to the top someday

Lol that's still five years closer to the present than 1998. It's been two full decades since the nation feared Tennessee, a team that's 1-19 in its last 20 rivalry games. I hate the shite out of LSU, but they've done far more since 2003 than Tennessee's done since 1998, while also playing the far deeper side of the conference. Tennessee has two built-in wins every season, and even then, they've started losing to Vandy. Losing to Vandy is never a good look. I should know: I'm a Rebel. Hell, last season, Tennessee was a missed FG away from having their "win the East or bust" season derailed before even reaching conference play. Coach O might be a big dumb piece of shite, but at least he knows and accepts it. Botch on the other hand...

Yeah, that would give a true picture.

I wasn't aware. And has nothing to do with LSU and UT, AT THIS MOMENT

Fact is, over the past three years, LSU and UT have very similar programs

At this moment, Tennessee beat App State (at Neyland) and Virginia Tech by the skin of its teeth with its best team since Fat Phil. LSU won the same amount of games without being able to employ use of the downfield pass. LSU also recruits at a higher level and doesn't waste thousands of booster dollars on buying pussies like Drew Richmond, a spectacularly wasted investment by the Memphis Vols to outbid Ole Miss. frick LSU, but Tennessee is much better at being laughably mediocre. The delusions of grandeur on both sides is fairly comparable though, and neither can beat Bama, so there are some similarities

Lol, grow a clue.

First off, we beat VT handily and they ended up finishing the season ranked.

Secondly, LSU did not win the same amount of games

You know we kind of fired our coach over this right? I don't think any LSU fan thinks we've been killing it recently.

Bama did not integrate until USC smashed them with Sam Cunningham. Bear Bryant was the coach

That is actually a myth. Alabama had already begun integrating the football team by 1970. It's just that they were freshmen that year and, per NCAA rules, freshmen could not be part of the varsity squad. So the night Alabama got thrashed by USC in Legion Field, Alabama had future African American players watching from the stands.

Wilbur Jackson watched the myth unfold from his seat in Legion Field in Birmingham on a hot September night in 1970. He was an Alabama freshman, his presence virtually unknown. He was the university's first black football recruit, but freshmen were ineligible to play.

So the myth about the integration of Alabama athletics grew instead around Sam Cunningham, a black running back for Southern California. He played so spectacularly in that 42-21 victory over the Crimson Tide, it was said he alone had persuaded Alabama Coach Bear Bryant to begin recruiting black players.
