Dark Lord my apologies.
How many Heisman winners does Tennessee have?

Tennesse is definitely still 2nd, but the gap is not nearly as big as some Vol fans pretend.
I haven't seen any Vol fans pretend there is a huge gap. We know we have to start winning again.

To be fair - Vanderbilt was the best team in the Southern Conference (or whatever it was) until Xen Scott, Thomas, and Wade came along.

Not disputing UT's ranking -- they're definitely #2 -- but this is kind of a face-palm statement considering historically there's only been an "SEC East" for about 1/4th of SEC history, and close to half of that has been spent with UT in the doldrums.
You're a Vandy fan, your math should be better.
There have been divisions for 23 years. UT won the east in 2007. How have we been in the doldrums for almost half of that time?

Clearly, you don't belong in this discussion.

How is this calculated? Wins for 4 non SEC charter schools in non SEC conferences do not matter.

How has your pimply faced bitch of a Heisman winner worked out in the NFL?
He's gonna meet Betty Ford coming over the middle.

You Johnny Come Lately's need to go back and read up on your SEC history. I knew we shouldn't have let Texans into this conference. It could only frick things up.

I hate Tennessee with a fiery passion that rivals Baby Huey's love for Krispy Kreme - but to put Florida ahead of them on an all-time list fricking laughable.

Tennessee only started claiming 6 recently. Prior to the remodel of the interior of Neyland and a bunch of banners being displayed, Tennessee only claimed 1951 and 1998.

A&M way too high. If we're at #7 now, we'll be big 6 in 5 years.

First, I offered an approximation, not a precise mathematical result. Second, did I say the doldrums were all in consecutive years? I count eleven years of 8 wins or less (including a 5-6 season two years prior to 2007) in the SECCG era of 13 possible games a season. That's "close to half" of 23. If you want to argue that 8 wins isn't in the doldrums for the #2 program in the SEC historically, we can discuss. But you really took it a bit too literally.

A&M really shouldn't even be on that list. In twenty years maybe.
