Tough because every team seems worse than expected 2 weeks in. UGA appears to be the only NC contender.

1. Georgia
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. Tennessee
5. Ole Miss
6. Auburn
7. Texas A&M
8. Miss St
9. Arkansas
10. S. Carolina
11. Missouri
12. Kentucky
13. Florida
14. Vanderbilt

What a difference a week makes. I remember just 7 days ago, y'all said LSU would never win another game and Kelly was on the hot seat. And just look at us now, baby. All after just a Grambling win?

I just don't see this. LSU has some position issues right now.

It's hard not to put Ole Miss at #2 at this point. Tulane isn't bad and they managed to pull a W unlike Alabama/A&M/LSU

Tulane was playing their backup QB and it was a 1 score game into the 4th quarter.

Agree for the most part based on records.

But putting Auburn that high after the Cal game is a little cringe worthy.

Ole Miss also struggles to beat a backup Quarterback. But things will iron out over the next 3-4 weeks.

The SEC West is up for grabs.

Rankings right now are pointless. I’d bet there’s only 3-4 fanbases excited about how their team look’s right now

The backup QB did pretty good. The first string QB was the one we’ve been prepping for so I doubt it would’ve made much of a difference. Tulane should not have won that game and didn’t. There’s an argument Arizona should’ve won the Mississippi state Game

I think he's saying if Tulane's starting QB (who is pretty good) plays, the outcome might well have been different. The final score is very misleading as to how close that game was. But a win is a win.

Ranking the SEC before anyone has even had a heads-up meeting seems... pointless.

Auburn too high. We definitely looked to be at the bottom third of that list Saturday.

If OM's top two WR's and top TE were able to play then I'm sure the point total would have different.

Were they supposed to cancel the game or something?

For those ranking Tennessee #2...that's way too high for what we've seen from them so far. Until the offense starts connecting on passes over 4 yards from scrimmage, they are way lower than #2. Probably around 5 or 6...if that.

They beat USC last year in an access bowl and post-game everyone acts like Tulane is Arizona or some other crappy non-conference game.. They were not intimidated by the logo or league on the jersey and are extremely well coached. It was ugly and we still covered and won by 17 with a banged up WR room and TE room limiting the offense.

That can go both ways. If ole miss had all WRs and TEs and the run game was wide open we could have won by 30 and never had to punt. Hypotheticals are hypotheticals.

Absolutely. WRs and TEs are every bit as important as a high quality veteran, starting QB.
