Bama's offensive output actually regressed under Kiffin.

This statement and accompanying graphs seem to have upset some people.

Probably because there are at least 10 statements you can make after reading those graphs and the one you made would be towards the bottom

Because it's relative. He scored more points per game. But yards per game was down.

Give me meat grinding drives instead of quick scores all day, that's what allowed Clemson to win the natty.

Until you lose a national championship game because your defense was on the field for 99 snaps.
That's more due to facing an offense that could actually move the ball on your stellar defense. Frankly, that's just not going to happen very often, and even when it did it took them everyone of those 99 snaps to actually beat you.

What usually happened with the Kiffin offense is that you managed three or four quick scores in your first half dozen possessions, while your defense was holding your opponent in check, which led to a lot of 21-0 or 28-3 type halftime scores, most of which ended up as 48-17 type blowouts.

The only losses you had under Kiffin (save for maybe Ole Miss in '14) came when your defense failed you. I don't know enough about your new OC, but he will have to be pretty damn good to keep that up.

Who can forget that powerhouse offense that showed up at Athens last year.

They didn't score much on us in Jordan Hare either. Their QB has started 3 games and he is in Heisman discussion.

O'Gara missed the mark in his quick summary of Georgia. As has often been the case, it is our OL and not the skilled players that are the limiting factor for our offense. If Eason blossoms as projected and with Chubb and Michel in the backfield, the offense should be in good shape if the OL can do their job.

South Carolina has some pretty good players at the skill positions, but that line should be a huge concern.

Too high.

No one cares who your QB is and your running back will blow now that he's the main one getting game planned for.

I'm surprised anyone ranked LSU at 7. All we read about is inexperience and lack of depth on the OL and a lousy QB. Damn, Guice must be all world! :)

Non-offensive touchdowns inflating the numbers.

I think it will be better than 7 by the end of the season. Nobody really knows what to expect yet.

Brah, somebody will start a thread ranking SEC defenses and that will be listed as #1. Give it time.
