Damn it kid you're ruining my thread. People are supposed to bicker about why their school is better than some other school. Now everybody is just mocking you

This list is a lie. TiM told me multiple times that Aubun is far superior to UA in every way possible academically.

For frick's sake... you're about to unleash a fricking pit-bull.

Interesting that the only one who actually cares about the OP is the douche from A&M. Once and for all, if A&M was truly an elite academic institution the PAC 12 would have given you an invite. But they didn't want you; they wanted Texas.

Who brags about being 69th best? Oh yeah, the same school that brags about being 6th best in the SEC. You are not Texas, just like Auburn will never be BAMA, State will never be Ole Miss, Vandy will never be Tenn., USCe will never be Clemson, and Michigan State will never be Michigan. Deal with it.

You seem upset.

Tell me more.

Looks like Perry is really doing damage to Texas schools across the board.

Rice is down 1 spot (18)
Texas is down 8 spots (52)
SMU is down 4 spots (60)
A&M is down 4 spots (69)
Baylor is up 2 spots (75)
TCU is up 15 spots (82)
Texas Tech is up 3 spots (161)

Among public schools, the only one to gain any ground was Texas Tech.

Not sure how TCU rose so sharply.

I know why A&M dropped...US News does not look favorably on a drastic increase in number of students.

True.

Our ROI is still among the best, though. And if IIRC, our new grads made more than any Texas school save Rice last year.

So meh.

It's basically an inverse ranking of acceptance percentage with a few other things randomly factored in. It's really a crock of shite.

You do realize this is not strictly an academic ranking.

except for Texas A&M. They are legit and a solid #1 in the SEC West up there competing for the #3 spot overall with Georgia in the SEC. Speaking of A&M and other Texas schools dropping this year compared to last, Bama also dropped 9 spots from #77 to #86 this year. In fact, it looks like most SEC schools other than Vandy, Florida, and Georgia dropped in this year's rankings compared to last year's rankings. It's almost as if Big 12 schools complained about SEC school rankings and U.S. News listened.
