You are 50th in passing defense

This date last year LSU was 4th...

Not according to this...

Total D 316.8----315.9
Scoring D 17.5----22.6
YPC 4.32----3.25
YPP 4.87----4.81
TFL/G 5.85----6.14

When you have big leads early in every game teams tend to throw more. As an A&M fan i can understand how you wouldn't understand this.

Maybe next year y'all will have some semblance of an offense.

OP edit to include Diaz and Collins. Both look to have been really good hires.

Really the only one that doesn't look pretty good at this point is Muschamp, and Im not sure how much of that is just being tied to Malzahn.

A&M has improved under Chavis

LSU has dropped from 7th in the nation in points allowed to now around 36th compared to the same time last year. Pretty big decline

But yet we are the Number 2 ranked team in the country.

Aggies you need some new material...

Floridas improvement is solely cuz the offense is so much better. Collins sucks. They will see that soon.

No stats needed:

Muschamp
Chavis
Diaz
Collins

Steele (both fans have shown up)

Dak and the WKU QB skew the stats for LSU's pass defense. But the passing defense has given up a lot more big plays as a result of busted coverages than we are used to seeing. They've also gotten soft in garbage time, which is not typical as well.

If U added recruiting ability as a factor although early into their tenures I would put Steele in the top 2-3 easily. His abilities were immediately felt on the trail.

ust about all their DBs are back from last year. They have more depth. Just saying.

Umm we were missing Collins, Mills, Robinson. Collins was a second round pick, Mills has been hurt, Robinson got booted. We are starting a true freshman at cb. Also lost both our starting DE but have already equaled our sack total from last season. Our defense has not yet played with everyone healthy. Lacouture and bower both missed games due to injury, same with Tre White.

Also St has lead to direct tds, same with the one Harris fumble that resulted in the other team getting the ball on the 3 yard line. The d is gving up 4pts less per game factoring in the points off st. About even to last year.

Another tidbit on Diaz. State had better players last year. On D. According to everybody. So that adds to the impressiveness of his improvement.

LSU gives up fewer yards per game than A&M
LSU gives up fewer points per game than A&M

LSU gains more yards per game than A&M
LSU scores more points per game than A&M

LSU is 7-0, 4-0 in SEC
A&M is 6-2, 3-2 in SEC

LSU is 3-0 vs. A&M since they joined the SEC.

LSU is 30-20-3 overall vs. A&M

LSU > A&M

Didn't Robinson only play in like two games last year?

I thought Bower started for you last year. My error, it was Rasco. Although I do think Bower played a lot.

Greater point still stands that this defense has many more experienced players than last year.

Except in the backfield, which has been the weakness. The front seven is vastly improved from last year. So
