Rupp is the SEC's basketball version of Neyland. Yes,its huge, but too many 'bleacher' type seats too small and close togethor with knees in your back.

Govt Tide and dallastiger, have either of you been to the PMAC since it's upgrades?

It rates over at least a few on Govt's list. It may lack fans and atmosphere, but it is now clean, aesthetic, and has improved concession options and restrooms.

P.S. Though clean and cozy, Coleman reminds me of IU's Assembly Hall(without the title banners)..both are nice..but dated and now appear like an arena that a Butler, Gonzaga, or Seton Hall would play out of..give off the aesthetic of a Div-2 title powerhouse when totally empty.

Great analogy, and so true. The players look really small from up in that Rupp third tier nosebleed deck, there isn't an inch of elbow room, just like Neyland..both built before the 'Supersized/Big Gulp/HFCS' era in America.

Before the UK fans tell me I'm "a hater" the whole make-up of Rupp with the convention center and hotel is fantastic. But the design was in the mid 70's and the its got some age on it with the concourse being small and taking a long time to get around.

I 59, I agree with you.

Also, to say the PMAC is nice after the renovations is silly...it was putting lipstick on a pig.

PMAC is hanging on for dear life. But with bad to mediocre basketball and the passion LSU fans have for baseball,I don't see much improvement. Only so many $$$s to go around.

The PMAC's late '60s/early 70s spaceship/flying saucer exterior isn't to my liking, but it's interior is better than Bama's Coleman and some other SEC venues, that some have higher. Here is a women's warm-up to show it empty, so you can see the new seats.
