They actually played a game in November 1892. Against a bunch of high school players from Birmingham.

Oh no 1992 was our 100th year and we played an official game against another opponent in 1892

There are multiple citations that state the same. He founded the team, he didnt return back to alabama until 1892. This is according to your school maintained wiki page as well.

yall are always saying how bad the school is, so maybe they are wrong. I can't tell you any more than I have or give you any citations until I get back home and dig up my paper on the beginning of Alabama football. It is a really awesome paper if I do say so myself.

Even IF true, your change to 12 doesn't help your case. Speaking of numbers, that is less than a 1 percent difference.

First Season for Auburn 1891, first game was actually played against UGA

FACTS.

Bama played their first game 9 months later and it was against Birmingham HIGH SCHOOL...

Atlanta, GA
Alabamas first season was 1892 and they played The Truth
W 11-11-1892 56 Birmingham HS (AL)0 Birmingham, AL

L 11-12-1892 4 Birmingham AC (AL)5 Birmingham, AL

W 12-10-1892 14 Birmingham AC (AL)0Birmingham, AL

L 02-22-1893 22 Auburn (AL)32 Birmingham, AL

ETA: UGA played Mercer in January of that year...

We usually win them, 1941 is a bad choice but oh well, before my time. I try not to make too big a fuss about things that were so long ago.

If you want to consider all time program performance the tie breaker to make the numbers work go ahead.
