The smaller the number, the more they are liked by the rest of the country. The larger the number, the more they are disliked by the rest of the country.
On this scale:
1 = Hawaii ... 50 = New Jersey
https://www.aol.com/article/2015/07/14/which-state-is-the-most-disliked-in-the-country/
10 - Florida, Tennessee tied
14 - Georgia
21 - Texas
22 - Kentucky
30 - South Carolina
39 - Louisiana
40 - Missouri
44 - Arkansas
47 - Mississippi
49 - Alabama
ETA: Louisiana & Kentucky ... oops, sorry about that.

How do these numbers correlate with ethnic group populations?

No clue how Mississippi is ahead of Bama. Bama has the beaches plus a decent City in Birmingham

You tell us ... because I have no idea nor any way of forming an informed opinion without taking all states into account and knowing their ethnic makeups.
I would think Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas and South Carolina all have high percentages of blacks and Latinos ... but as compared to what, or whom, I would not know.

True and Missouri doesn't have a high percentage of blacks or latinos.lol. Missouri is like 11.7% black, 3.7% latino and ranked towards bottom at #40.

The morons that voted in this poll have clearly never been to Florida outside of a family trip to Disney World.

I'm sure having the longest coastline in the contiguous US has nothing to do with it.
Where did you visit that gave you such a negative opinion?
