this is why I'm in Charlotte and not the upstate. I'm a couple hours from anywhere I'd like to go in the Palmetto state, a short trip to the mountains, and the city has all of the amenities I need to do what I need to do in my career.

Yea, I like Charlotte a lot as well. Also close to the Sand Hills and all that lovely golf.

Fort Payne, AL
Erwin, TN
Newport, TN
Clintwood, VA
Chatsworth, GA

I think you should spin the bottle and pick one of those in the circle cities for your next move.

Went to Pinehurst for the very first time last spring. I'm not much of a golfer, but it was impressive to tour the grounds

You like mountains and the coast. Northwest Arkansas is great and so is the drive.

So do I, actually. We played courses around the area but we stayed and wandered around the club and the city. It was a really fun trip. Cool area.

Depends on your occupation. If you're law enforcement it's probably not gonna work out. If you're shady as shite you'll make a fortune and live well.

What part of Charlotte? Davidson here.

If I could get back to Gulf Coast I'd leave today. Food and football are foreign to these people.

I'm in the middle of Season 3 of Justified right now and it is basically how I always imagined Newport (and all of Cocke County) must really be.

I'm about 2 miles north of the speedway in Concord. Before moving this way, I lived in Mooresville, thankfully got out of town before the toll lane fiasco got going.

I work off Billy Graham Parkway, so my drive down 85 isn't too bad. Wife and I are looking at moving to the Indian Trail area to be closer to her job, but the cost of homes over there is insane.

My wife's family is from the Tri-Cities area. When we visit, she always tells me she's forgotten how different it is living in Charlotte to Bristol.

Don't know what led her to believe it would be the same, but I love her to death nonetheless.

Small world, I grew up (after leaving Atlanta and a short stint in Metro DC) in Kingsport. A LOT of Kingsport kids go to Clemson, or at least they used to when I was there. I would say behind Tennessee (wayyyyy behind) and Virginia Tech that Clemson is probably around the 3rd most represented fan base in that area. Of course that was in 2003, so it may have changed.

Yeah, I know Sensabaugh is from Kingsport. I like the Tri-Cities, but my career (television) doesn't allow much movement or $$$ in that region.

My grandmother lives in Rogersville, which is where we lived for a short time when I was a kid. Would be a great place to retire to
