I stand corrected on the royalties.
But by their own conscience, UGA knew they were borrowing heavily from the Packers to the point of pursuing permission. Whether they needed to with regards to IP law, maybe not, but clearly they knew where they were getting their logo from.

Awful may be a bit strong, but they're not my absolute favorite either.
LSU's helmets look good as part of the entire uniform, especially with purple jerseys. However, as a standalone piece, it doesn't do much for me.
Also, although I understand this thread is focused primarily on primary uniforms, the white helmets LSU have used in the past are better than the yellow/gold IMO.

All I know is that for some reason USCe has the worst logo and helmets to me for some reason. I can't stand ATMs or states either, but that's mainly because maroon is a miserable color, and state now has a horrible logo. They were much better in the late 90's with the diagonal logo.

The white Florida helmet is cool, but the normal Gators helmet is absoulutely iconic.
Dont get the love for Bama's helmet, its functional design, sure, but boring and plain. As a graphic designer i love things stripped away, but if you strip too much, its just plain. I will say alabamas overall aesthetic and unform design is very unified, which is essential in this type of thing.

Ah I see. Personally, I think it is difficult to make orange look good as an accent color. AU and UF lose points in my rankings for that reason.

Meh. A red helmet with numbers. Im not sure it was even really designed, its like if alabama's mascot was simply, "mascot." Perhaps the players names on their jersey should just be, "football player."
