Solid, but Georgia is probably better than Tennessee.

Actually, from the 2007-2010 recruiting classes, Alabama produced more players (D1 signees) than Louisiana.

I spent an entire week of Christmas break calculating that haha. Tere is no link, but trust me, I saw the numbers

I will take your word. How many were to BCS schools?

If I had no tie/affiliation to any team, and I just had to rank the teams based on which jobs I'd prefer:

1. Florida
2. LSU
3. Georgia
4. Alabama
5. Tennessee
6. Auburn
7. South Carolina
8. Arkansas
9. Ole Miss
10. Mississippi State
11. Kentucky
12. Vanderbilt

Good list. Top 3 have amazing recruiting grounds.... next three have to go out of state... next six will never win the SEC.

Meh, there isn't all that much difference, though props to UT for winning a relative title. Something UGA can't seem to do fo shiz.

At the time Dooley retired it was.

Then Goff came.......cue dramatic tragedy music.

No way Fulmer wins a national title at Tennessee without Georgia being down and Rodney Garner being able to raid the state for recruits. There are multiple reasons for UT dropping off after the late 90's. Georgia having some success is definitely one of them.

Agree. Our 1950's and 1990's are two decades that make me . I think you can relate from about 1970 - 1984 IIRC.

Thanks. Despite the fact that I prefer Georgia's recruiting base to Alabama, I'm not really saying I think it's easier to win there. I gave it the nod because I think I would enjoy the lifestyle more in the Athens/Atlanta area (compliment to Georgia, not a shot at Alabama), which is definitely something I'd consider as a coach.

I'm just going to throw this out here, I'd f'n love to coach at Ole Miss. Expectations aren't through the roof, Mississippi is decent recruiting ground, Oxford is kind of lily wilted version of Athens, expectations aren't that high, and hot chicks.

For $2 million per year.

Yeah, I'd probably do it, and run a version of the triple/power option, load up on JUCO's on D, and win with the running game.
