LSU lost Peterson, Sheppard and Nevis. Why does everybody assume their defense is not going to miss a beat from last year?
Because LSU rotated about 22 guys and 18 of them are back.

LSU's DB's go in first couple rounds for the next 4-5 years. I've never seen LSU with DB this good and this deep.

Alabama lost five starters. They're replacing Ingram with Richardson. McElroy and Dial are hardly big losses. Jones is the only guy they'll miss but Alabama's WR depth chart is immensely better than it was last year. They're unbelievably deep and talented.

You lost a 1st round LT too..

As a pure cover corner I would agree. As for wreaking havoc on an offense by moving him around and blitzing and dropping back in coverage I think TREX would be assume playing nickel most of the time.

At least top 5 in the SEC again.

We have had marked improvement each year under Robinson since he took over the defense. We return everyone but 1 guy on our front 4 two deep, along with Jerry Franklin and Jericho Nelson at LB. Madison, Winston, Bennett, & Thomas are back in the secondary.

We should be solid and a very physical front 4. We had a lot of sacks a year ago, so hopefully that trend continues.

We held 10 teams to 24 pts or less last year, a far cry from the previous season. Miss State needed OT to get to 31, or that number would be at 11.

LSU lost Russell, Bowe, Davis and Vincent/Broussard. Why did everyone assume our offense was going to tank?

We're only losing those 3 + or other DT who wasnt good. We return the majority of the defense which is why most assume our defense will still be very good.

1-Bama! No doubt about that. and is what will help them win until the offense is back on track

2-LSU.. reload.

3-MSU... Say what you will, but MSU is going to a BSC bowl this year not due to an efficient offense. Defense!

That's my top three. I think the WEST is going to bully the east this year1

LSU's secondary will be nasty. Maybe better without PP7 with the experienced gained last year. Nevis is who they will really miss on D.

Bama will be....Bama

Florida

MSU

Arkansas if the LB's produce and the D line is as good as expected.

Georgia will be top 4 in the SEC without a doubt, maybe top 3.

I hope you are right. If our defense allows an average of 18 points we will be sitting pretty nicely come the end of the year and the start of 2012. I doubt we are that good though. I think we might be top 5-6 in the SEC, but that point average is just too low.

You think he'd be smart enough not to try that again...oh you mean on the field.

My bad.
