Agreed..that thing is awesome.
I don't get why everyone is fapping to it so much.

the UMKC one is even better.
It's just unique and not like a McMansion like 95% of the other's posted.

My daughter was a Phi Mu at LSU and the thing I always liked about their greek zone was that many of the houses are on University Lake. I cant find a pic I can post but the Phi Mu house was unique in style as it was an old sugar cane planter style. The place was immaculate every time I visited and those momma's spare no expense on their daughters' comfort... Spoiled rotten bitches! including mine.
what year was she?

Alabama's new houses are absolutely insane. I've stayed in a few the past 2-3 years. IMO, most are big red brick, white columns, with very few differences between them. I didn't like that
I thought UGA's houses for the most part where very similar to LSU's size/look wise. Most houses look nothing alike
Here are some pictures kinda showing our sorority row on the lakes

As far as housing goes I have no clue who has the best arrangement of houses. I guess UGA. But as far as Greek life goes Alabama and UGA are head and shoulders about everyone else.

In the non-greek revival category, specifically Tudor/gothic inspired (which is more the theme of our campus and town)...

I can't really speak for many other schools but I do know that a lot of other schools have much newer houses than the ones at UGA, but I kind of like the historic greek houses in Athens. It adds some character. I think you have to have the top 3 of UGA, Ole Miss, Alabama with Arky and South Carolina right outside those 3.

I don't know which is better having all new badass houses like Bama or going with the old ones that have stood the test of time but may not look as badass.

LSU's would be awesome if we had a better bar district. Tigerland is a dark stain (not a racist pun) on the LSU greek experience.

Bama has, by far, the most tryhard group of Greeks I've ever seen.
Ole Miss beats everyone in Greek Life alone, but you can debate best houses all you want.

Ugh no they don't. Alabama is basically just a larger version of Ole Miss when it comes to greek life.

quote:Bama has undergone a Greek construction project that probably exceeds $300million in the last 5 years. The fraternities and sororities are in an arms race to see who can build the biggest/most elaborate houses on campus. But those mansions don't come cheap. My daughter will be a freshman at Bama in August and we are planning to spend $5,000 per semester for sorority dues.

Why, because they make up words to go along to Dixieland Delight and act like they can hang with Ole Miss and LSU fans when it comes to drinking?

One of the most ignorant things I've ever read on this site. Drinking? Really? I'm sure it has everything to do with the colors you put on, on Saturday morning as far as tolerance goes.
Hey guess what? My dad can beat your dad up!

What does this have to do with comparing greek life?
I've been making trips to Ole Miss ever since we were old enough to drive in high school. About half my graduating class went to school there. They don't do anything special other then the guys have to put on formal rush in fall.
